For the first stage of this collaboration (left channel), I created a silent film inspired by my experience of viewing the Northern Lights in the Lofoten region of Norway, during a two-month stay in late 2019. Pianist, composer, and visual-to-sound synesthete Svetlana Rudenko wrote and performed the audio track based on her synesthetic perceptions of the silent graphics.
For the second stage of this collaboration (right channel), I used Svetlana's composition to create a new work of motion graphics to describe what the audio looks like in my mind's eye, as a sound-to-visual synesthete.
