I hate this stage, mostly because of the enemies and their placement

This is the one stage in this game that I didn't care for. I don't hate it, but I don't enjoy it either, it's the stage that is just there. Sonic 2 had 3-4 stages that were cut from the final version. I wonder why Wood and Hidden Palace got cut but this stage made it into the final version

Aquatic Ruin or as my dad used to call it, Aquatic Run is my favourite water stage (shockingly there is a good water stage) If you are careful, you never have to touch the water and even if you do, you wont be in the water that long if you keep moving

To answer your question about if he's Robotnik or Eggman, both answers are right. In the US version he was Robotnik, but in Japan he was always Eggman

Sonic 2 was a sequel done right. If you don't count Sonic 3 & Knuckles as one game, then I would agree that this is the best Sonic game
