The History of Thedas (A beginners guide) [Dragon Age Lore]
Просмотров 116 тыс.5 лет назад
Hello ladies and gentlemen. This is my first Dragon Age lore video. My intent was to make a quick simple summery of all the important events leading up to Dragon Age: Origins. I hope you enjoy. Contact info: Twitter: Ragnasocks Email: Ragnasockslore@gmail.com Notes: - I left a lot of stuff out, but I chose these events because of their historical significance or the introduction of ...
Oghren goes from a useless drunk in a bar, drinking to forget to a Grey Warden saving the world. That is character development.
It really stinks that Oghren never returned for the sequels of Dragon Age. I don't care if people thought Oghren had a potty mouth cause he was such great comedy relief and his banter was hilarious and he deserves a comeback.
Shartan=Solas. If you look at the artwork for Shartan...he is wearing the exact same thing as Solas did in Trespasser. Also, even in Origins Shartan was a bald elf that was still uncanny when it came to his resemblance to Solas. I also suspect that the Maker or spirit that came to Andraste was Mythal....which means that Andraste is Fle...I'll let you figure out the rest as Andraste's origin story is very similar to another's origin story. Heck, they are from the exact same region of Thedas.
Why it’s always humans waging the wars 😂
he better be in dreadwolf
I Hope the person behind this Channel IS alive. Good contente.
Why don't you post videos anymore?:(
I love the early dialogue between Bull and Dorian. Dorian asks Bull about the war between their countries. Bull asks if Dorian thought That was really War, and Dorian agrees that it's little more that a 200yr old eye-watering slap fight lmao
Awesome video, thanks
Purge all the Elves! For the Maker!
The ancient Elven are the humans from now
I just started playing DA: Origins. What's the deal with the Chantry/Templars? Why are they "hunting" mages??? I didn't hear any mention of this in the video.
It’s 2023!! I’m late to the party but new dragon age coming out so I have to play! Thanks for helping me understand WTH is going on😅😊🎉 thanks
Yo!! Thanks for your help understanding the lore
Thank you for this.
This was a great video. I added you but then unadded you because i see the video is 3 years old and you haven't dropped any more videos
Well done!
This is the most comprehensive lore video I have found on the lore of the Dragon Age games, thank you so much for all your hard work!
This is so well made! Thank you for the info
why does young oghren remind me of Nikolai Belenski from COD BO zombies?
I hope he shows up in the next DA
Make more videos please sir
Fun fact, the world of Dragon Age was never intended to have a name. "Thedas" sort of accidentally became the de facto name, as it's an acronym for THE Dragon Age Setting.
Wow, this video is cool! I’m pleased watching it!
UNTIL THE GREY WARDENS CAME FOR MORE CUM 😂😂😂😂😂😂
DA lore is simply amazing. Jumped on DA back in 2018, bought all three games. Just beat DA 2 on nightmare, read all the book, ao glad i gave the games a try
Aspects of the different countrys and cultures to their real counterpart. Correct me if I'm wrong. Ferelden - Britannia Orlais - France Tevinter - Isreal Antiva - Italy Nevarra - Spain Rivain - Portugal High Marches - Germany but in splitted principalities Seheron - Caribic area (Cuba etc) Anderfels - Netherlands Par Vollen - Arabic countrys
Bro where you at?
I friggin love the dragon age lore, the amount of time, love, blood, sweat, tears, and dedication has led for this series to be one of the best if not the best games/stories/lore of all time!!! Much thanks for such a detailed video over the lore of dragon age!!
Correct me if i am wrong but wasn't it mentioned multiple times that people don't actually know why darkspawn exist, and the story about the corrupt mages becoming darkspawn was just a story told by the imperium without any evidence?
Very excellent video, thank you!
I got the chills after seeing the holy trio of hero's when you said it's up to you
I have already played all the games but never had such a concrete understanding of the world and its lore this video was fantastic
This video is perfect for my RPG group, they have never played Dragon Age, and I'm running basically Origins for the campaign. I hope ya come back and do more lore videos, even if they are just like 5 minute things about random stuff, like the Chantry. The Dalish Elves, Golems, Surface Dwarves, etc.
Never played baldurs gate but they mention the chantry and the other things like wardens im like wtf this's bad ass makes me wanna play n more interested to get into this world to see how I actually founded all that stuff in dragon age
Is this lore before Inquisition or Origins? Description says Origins which I believe but it also feels like it's before Inquisition... Or I don't completely understand yet 😂
I'd love for someone to do videos on the player character origins of dragon age origins. Also Zevran Arainai.
Dragon Age Origins was great but lets be honest, DA lore is not that great lore. There are many diffrent lores that well written then this one. Still appreciate video though
I just started DAO for the very first time, and am talking to every NPC and reading every codex entry. I want to know this world I'm inhabiting. Now here you come with an EXCELLENT, well narrated, and spoiler free intro, just for me. Doesn't get much better than that, my friend.
Great Video. I wish you made more
Not gonna pretend I understood much of this lol but I'm excited to start DA:I
Yuman or human?
a certain someone can be branded the protagonist, if not a role model, from this perspective. if you know what i mean 😉 i almost felt sorry for that certain someone tbh
Very well done.
now wonder the Hero of Ferelden is deemed legendary. HoF single-handedly end the 5th blight in a year or two(?) after nearly extinct on Ferelden side.
it was very nice to see/hear all the history in one summery. thanks so much for the video!
Amazing presentation & storytelling! 👏 You have gained a new subscriber! 😁
Oi bro I’m supper late but I played the original back in 2009 and now I’m going through all of the games back again in prep for dao4 supper excited about it. Which there where more of this vids up to inquisition
The amount of lore and love that was put into this game by bioware is amazing
Tevinter = Rome Orlais = France Antiva = Greece Ferelden = U guess it (England) Navarra = Spain Qunari = Africans or muslims Edit: Talking to stan in DAO felt really more like talking to an old school, like tribal, african But the DA2 chief felt as radical as an sultan from the middle east or more north african Grey warden = German Order If I missed korrekt me✌🏾
The fuck is a German order?
