This week, I took part in an epic social run around the historic town of Dover. From tackling steep hills to climbing endless stairs, this route was packed with challenges and breathtaking views. The highlight? Running up the iconic Grand Shaft, a unique triple-spiral staircase with an amazing history.

I'm with you on the accents! But I'm not so sure I wanna be dragged down some of them descents by a dog 😂 If you ever find yourself in the area, let me know - I'll give you a tour of the local hills! 😁

The race is done over 6 days, with an average distance of 40 miles per day (each day varies between 31 miles and 45 miles)

Thank you! It's a multi day race, from Conway Castle - North Wales, to Cardiff Castle - South Wales - 236 miles of mountain running 😁

Dover offers more Wales mini simulation opportunities than I thought. I’ve actually managed 1100ft this week…….across 37 miles! Looking forward to getting out in the hills somewhere. Thanks for sharing your training week. A video a day is high output on top of actually doing the training 💪🏼
I am very fortunate to have the cliffs and live in a town with 5 valleys. It doesn't give those long technical climbs of descents though. 1100fr over 37miles? that's not good! hopefully you can find a hill or 2 near by! The video a day is harder work than the training! XD and I've not been able to get one done for yesterday ( Saturday). I'll see how they go and they might turn into a weekly affair!

Good luck to Philly - 100 miles in one go 💪💪💪. I’ve enjoyed the weeks blogs and it’s forcing me to be more mindful of staying in zone 2 for the bulk of my training week. 1 mile race Saturday 1/100 of a decent distance will definitely be outside zone 2 though. 😊

@@willtpt HEy Will no i do the DBR in 2022 but with 3 Full and 3 Half Days. So in 2025 i will try the full course this time 🙂

Nice one. It will be enjoyable sharing the DBR training journey and RUclips channel experience. I agree vlog is a great way to ensure we enact our planning with that layer of extra accountability as motivation. I’m well jealous of the cliffs though. Perfect for repeat loops.
