so much fun every time imagining what the boss fight to go with this theme would look like. i can just imagine one of the girls flying around in a kagerou-like bird mode while the other commandeers her, then they swap sides, and finally join each other and fly together in beautiful ways for the finale amazing work! very much could be official & in another universe I wish it was!

My favourite song out of the album along with Stage 2, there's a feeling of floatiness throughout the song, yet a gradually-increasing sense of urgency which really picks up at 1:17. You can feel the danger coming. Favourite part of the song comes in at 1:33 though, the change in time signature clearly indicates a shift in tone as well, which leads me to believe this is where Hibari appears as the mid-boss. Everytime that "that GFW sound" (the "PAA" sound) is played, I can imagine a game mechanic, shifting the wind from left to right each time, making movement more difficult, becoming increasingly erratic to throw the player off. 2:03 definitely gives that "Stage 4" feeling off, though. It's like a never ending ascension through the clouds, until you finally pierce through at 2:34 and you get to fight the final onslaught of enemies. With the chord progression around 3:12 bringing that sense of grandeur and conclusion, where the stage would end and you'd finally rest for a few minutes while reading the dialogue. It's just that good of a track and a worthy Stage 4 theme in my opinion. There's such a good mix of excitement, anticipation and most importantly progression.
