I saw the Zawinul Syndicate back in 1990 and at one point he was soloing on a keyboard that was tuned backwards - low notes to the right - on Badia I think. My friend met him 0:02 the show and asked him about it. He said “Sometimes it’s better if you don’t know what notes you’re playing”
