Very informative content
Nice lecture, thanks Zach.
Thanks, I'll be putting out more of these, so if you ever have a question you can message me on linkedin or leave a question here in the comments
12 min video 😅
What was the common question? Was it about "theme" like decoration or branding? (Per the large words in the middle) "Save", like the auto-generated captions suggest? Feed? Thieve, like copper thieving?
It was "thieving"
Hey Zach, I would like to have one Altium hoodie!!
I'm still waiting for a new box to arrive....
LOL get that!!
For a better SI and EMC, is it better to have a ground plane as close to the signal layer as possible? Doesn't this increase the rise times since the capacitance of the transmission line increases too? If so, isn't this a bad move for high speed links? Seems counter intuitive since signal/GND layer pair is recommended to be as close as possible for best EMC.
Great video! Looking forward to the series! For a first episode, it’s is very interesting and really packed with knowledge and tips
Thank you very much, if you have questions please go ahead and ask
@@Zachariah-Peterson What’s the best way to ground a metal enclosure trough a PCB? I connect GND to one screw (to prevent ground loops) using exposed copper around the screw hole. Is it okay if other screws also have exposed copper pads which are not grounded and just floating? Many thanks!
Its only as intelligent as who is programing it?
Kind of like "smart" devices, only as smart as the person who wrote the firmware
The more the better. Plants need it to grow.
not necessarily. plants also need nutrients from the soil and water. excess carbon dioxide isnt doing much without extra of the other two. if climate change continues unchecked it will affect the availability of water for people and plants.
😄😄
It's nice of you Zack
They should mark the significance of the passage of time.

Not a whole lot of actual technical information here
Then you should follow the link in the description to watch the full episode.
Hi Zach, will that course eventually be available online? (Paid for example)
This guy is all talk, show youve made an advanced board ❤
Are you asking me to break an NDA bro?
Ferrite beads are prayer beads.
Using them is like praying your design will pass EMC
A step by step example of a pdn design for a high speed ic would be great Zach 😊
Good suggestion, I have something in planning but need to finish it
Hi Zach, thank you for the great insight. I'm a newbie on highspeed design, can you share more videos on PDN? I need a design roadmap especially for eliminating resonances on PCB, what kind of tools to use for it, and how to do it step by step would be great. Your videos really help thank you.
Yeah something like a full design process for the PDN from start to finish is a good idea
Great video! Thanks a lot, Zach!
Thank you for uploading this. I'm studying EE and learned about you from a podcast one of my classmates sent me. I know nothing about PCB design and have never even touched Altium, but I really enjoyed this talk. I've got a few PCBs lying around for driving a microwave and other kitchen appliances that (I think) would be operating with mixed signals, and it was fun having them on my desk and looking at them while listening to this talk. Your slides are also fairly minimal, so I can just glance at them briefly while I'm working on other things and listening.
@Zachariah Peterson, Please make a tutorial on implementing "Repeated circuits" more easily & faster on Altium. Thank you.
Modern day Jim Williams.
with his deep Understanding of physics behind electronics, Zachariah Peterson is really a greate brand.
a very modest person, Dr. Peterson.👍🏻
Hi Zach, Can we use the same file (Ansys EDB extractor) to work with the Ansys Q3D simulation tool? Can we expect any videos related to this topic in future?
Hi Sai, I believe that is correct, and if you can't do it with an EDB file you should be able to do it with EMN/EMP files. It sounds like a good topic so I will try to fit it into our list!
Thank you Zach. I have learnt a lot from your Videos on Altium Academy and from your RUclips Channel. 🙏🙏
Great to see you in RUclips. Looking forward to more content. I have the following suggestions for future videos be it with Altium or others: - Termination types, selection, placement and routing. - How to determine or estimate rise time of signals. - Overview of different communication interfaces and how to design and route them (ethernet, USB, HDMI... Etc) Thanks
Thank you very much!
