    Thats the first time I have heard someone talk about genetic grief. I never heard that expression before, but so apt for what I felt. I think its an important part to be aware of, as it gets dismissed too easily by people who were able to have children and tell you to "just adopt". Those same people dont want to admit they had kids for exactly that reason - to pass their genes on. Even if they dont see it that way now, they almost certainly did at the time they conceived and for many years after that when they looked to seevwho got what genes from whom. I have an aversion to hearing people talk about children as if they are just mini mes of the parents. I always point out they are a brand new person. Men in the USA even frequently give their sons the same name FFS - shows self-obsession and a real lack of imagination. When I gave up after IVF I was too broken and broke to consider anything else - I just had to stop completely at that point. But I never even realised donar eggs were an option. I thought adoption was the next step. My fertility clinic never really gave us proper advice on what all the options were. No counselling either. Its quite scandalous how much money they make out of something with such a low success rate.

    Thank you so much for this video. I'm 44, got married when 29. Couldn't have children and went through an early menopause. I really do wish I could get to the point I could enjoy other people around me having children and feeling joy for them.

    • @xxyes8879
      @xxyes8879 5 месяцев назад

      I will never feel joy for that, and that is totally normal. It is not possible after so much trauma. I was the first of my friends and family to get married, yet had to suffer announcement, after announcment, after announcement, after announcement while I have negative test after negative test, and half implanted embryos that died. While people flooded my news feed with photos of their children, or sent me ultrasounds, I went through procedure after procedue and upset after upset, invisible and in secrecy. While peoples lives progressed, time stood still for me for decades. I really like my little nieces and nephews who have turned out to be lovely people - but my sister has insensitively covered my mums entire house with photos of them, and no, I dont want to hear about them all day long.

    Friend of mine had 17 miscarriages, have had to be heavily medicated to have a baby. This teenager has health issues, whole experience was so difficult they didn't want to do it again. I can't even communicate with this child.

  • @RG-iw7py
    @RG-iw7py 6 месяцев назад

    I've found something else in life worth pursuing, got over this grief. Accepted I can't have everything in life. I never wanted a child just for sake of having a baby. 'It takes a village to bring up a child' and full family. There are too many narcissists (like in NPD) just due to trauma from being raised in dysfunctional, not full one. I'm glad I never got fooled to seek one baby at expense of killing or 'freezing' few. I've met a boy from twins born through this method. Both boys are on Asperger spectrum, are so aggressive can't be in one room, are sicklings, husband left this mother. Being blood donor is sth noble, not donating and participating in this horror. I recommend movie by real truth seeker dir. Grzegorz Braun - 'Eugenics. In the Name of Progress'. It explains who started and promotes it, new issues created by it. Ukraine has some 50 labs selling children. Due to restrictions in travelling some 5,000 were made orphans, for life because new owners couldn't collect purchased goods (this is what they made it to be). When child has no proper connection from the start there are irreparable changes in the brain occurring. I'm sorry you suffer, I disagree with solution you chosen. I knew woman who raised 7 orphans, after WWII, that's different story. Look what happened to Angelina Jolie's adopter daughter. She has a mother who was missing her for years, can't even meet her own child. Who's pain is bigger?

    thank you for this video. it’s very validating to hear. i ended up having a hysterectomy due to health issues, leaving me sterile. i’m facing grief that i never even realized i would. i thought i was okay with never having kids, and even though i may never have had them, the finality of a hysterectomy is a lot to sit with and the grief is very intense some days. sending you and everyone here love ❤

      🩷🩷 sending you so much love too. The finality of a hysterectomy is a relief at first because you’ve suffered so long from sickness. You are tired, and even your loved ones are tired. They have done all they can to support. And having the hysterectomy seems like the only solution. You are healed, and now you are safe. You did the best you could with what you knew. God loves you. Please allow Him to do only that which He can do. Be healed, and enjoy your new life with God, and the people who love you. There will be a Miracle. All is not lost.

      Some women have a low ovarian reserve genetically. It depletes as young as 30… other times you may have health conditions that you are not aware of until you investigate them in full depth and then it’s too late.

    I loved hearing your story. I’m currently 6 months pregnant with my egg donor baby. I’m feeling so down thinking about how my baby will someday want to go find her donor and establish some sort of relationship and look at her as her mom. Or if she won’t think of me as her mom. These things would be heartbreaking for me. I don’t feel a connection yet. I want to, but I don’t. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m subconsciously guarding my heart from the certain pain of these things I think are coming.

      I am planning to go through egg donation and that is my big fear but so far what I could find, most children (egg donated) when they meet their donors consider them like aunts, a person genetically connected but not their mothers, so that is a bit relief for me.

      Think of it like adoption (just a more extreme version). Yes the child will want to meet their biological parents. But the child will be receiving love from two sets of parents.

    • @tiffanyhays5706

    • @midnightblackroses
      @midnightblackroses 3 месяца назад

      @tiffanyhays5706 she has a biological mum. You're her birth mum. Both are important. It's adoption with extra steps. Love is more important than possession. It took me a while to wrap my head around it too. But the more love a child receives the better. Some children don't even get two parents!
