Tierney’s journey took an unexpected turn with the diagnosis of an auto-immune disease. Yet, in the face of adversity, her love for travel only grew stronger. She’s a testament to the fact that dreams don’t have to die, even in the darkest of times. Her journey is about embracing every moment, inspiring others to do the same, and proving that obstacles are just detours on the road to greatness.
Then there’s Jancarla, a first-generation Latina blazing her own trail. She finds joy in the raw beauty of life, waking up early for long hikes and cherishing every moment of the journey. For her, richness isn’t measured in material wealth but in experiences that fill the soul. 🤍

Yo the same thing happened to our Starlink! After some research online people say you should seal the crack with epoxy to keep moisture/water from getting in and rusting the copper internals. Since the hole is a bit big you can first fill the majority with a hot glue gun and then use a J-B WELD Epoxy Adhesive Syringe
We’ll definitely be doing that! We were stressed we would need to buy another panel but it seems to be working fine and we want to protect it as best as we can!
@@Herreras.onthemap Ya I felt the same exact way ugh such a relief it was still working. I just looked at the crack again to see if you could get away without buying a hot glue gun, you probably can just use the JB weld and build up layers to bridge the gap.

We use iOverlander and sleep only at places that allow overnight camping. We always respect rules :)

We are 70 and 72 with 2 dogs and small trailer (teardrop) with a wet bath and a small inside kitchen area, pulled by a 3/4 ton truck with a cap. Left Easter and were on the road for 61 days traveling 11,000 miles around the US and Canada. Really to far in retrospect, but (some highlights) left Maine, hit Nashville, caught the eclipse in Arkansas, visited San Antonio, Big Bend NP, Guadeloupe NP, relatives in New Mexico, Florissant Fossil Beds NM, Pikes Peak, Silverton and Ouray CO, Great Sand Dunes NP, Grand Teton NP, Yellowstone NP, North Cascades NP, relatives in Washington, Glacier NP, Lake Louise and Banff in Canada. We did stay in campgrounds every night and had electric hookup always except for one night. Usually had water and sewer or access to a dump station. Did have two 1800 watt battery power stations with us and a medium sized freezer/refrig under the truck cap (kept on freezer the whole trip) starting out with lots of food from home.

There's an ancient technique for pumping water it's called gravity. Just hanging a water jug on the wall would save you all that time and money and then you can bring it with you to refill. Easy peasy all that extra stuff just ruins your fuel economy and your budget not to mention takes up a lot of space
We’ve thought about doing that for our drinking water - we just are nervous about it falling on bumpy roads!
If you trim your wicks down to a quarter inch before every time you light it, your candles last a LOT longer

Tires are expensive
They are so expensive! Our one tire was completely destroyed in the accident so it needed to be replaced. We figured we should change them all while it’s the shop since we haven’t gotten new tires since having the van!

semi insured to replace your van? Or repair if possible?
It’s taken a while for the insurance to get going. They weren’t wanting to cover the entire damages and we had to really fight to get what we deserved.
