Over 50 Years of Weaving
Phnom Srok is a famous silk producing in Banteay Meanchey province, But today, this craft has fewer and fewer people.
Although cheap and less marketable some old people are still doing this and not giving up.

Death of Indigenous People in Cambodia
Просмотров 36 тыс.21 день назад
Kachok is the name of a group of indigenous people living far from the town in Ratanakiri province. When people die, their rituals and burials are different from ours. Everything belonging to the corpse to be buried with them. The grave is strange. There are wooden sculptures of various shapes placed in the corners of the tomb. #Road_taste #indigenous #culture

Indigenous people in the highlands have been farming as a family since ancient times. They plant on the mountain slopes, but they do so without seriously harming the environment, and their cultivation is different from Cambodian plantations. #indigenous #culture #plantation

It is a fertile land for small and large crops, as well as a land of great natural treasures. Unfortunately, through the end of the war, those treasures were destroyed, but they still searching for it.
Chreab (A small group of indigenous people in Cambodia)

A small village located in the eastern part of Banteay Meanchey province, Cambodia. They still believe in the demons of the mountains. On the 5th day of the month of Pisak, they always perform the Neak Ta Ceremony to ask for happiness, ask for rain, and want to know the results of the new year's more or less output. #indigenous #culture #youtube
Land of Warlord (hidden Cambodia)

I devoted several days to learning about the Por indigenous people who live in remote areas. I saw a number of things at that time that I had never seen before, including pleasant and generous people who gave me food and shelter. Their annulment ritual is peculiar. #indigenous #culture #youtube Social Media - Facebook: roadtastes - Instagram: oukreaksa - Tik Tok: www...

that's a gougers video, brother.
I'm surprised many Cambodian people don't know about Ampil district in Oddar Meanchey. This district was founded by my great grandfather Da Kol from Surin over 100 years ago. Back then, this district was just forest until my great grandfather and the Surin/ Buriram people cleared the trees to make way to build villages. During the Siamese occupation 1941-1946 my great grandfather became an overlord of the Dangrek mountain region where he patrols and regulate on coming traffickers from Siam and Cambodia because there were many criminals doing illicit activities. Ampil used to be a famous place for Asylum and refugee seekers from Isan and Phnom Penh in the 1920s-1960s. Too bad now it's just a mere shell of its former glory due to the Khmer rouge destruction of my great grandfather's palace and what he built. The only surviving features were the massive reservoirs and roads.
@@imperialkhmer6146 oh very informative, thank for dropped a comment let's us know❤️
@@Road_taste I have never been to Ampil yet. I wanted to do a documentary about my great grandfather. He was a very influential person both in Northern Cambodia ( Siem Reap-Oddar Meanchey, Banteay Meanchey-Battambang) Southern Laos (Champassak) and most of Isan region during that time. He spoke 3 languages Siamese, Laos, and Khmer. He was able to unite the three regions together. His power and influence was greater than even the Aphaiwong family. He was a man most people feared because his rules and policies were dictated by his rifle. He killed thousands of criminals during his time and bought the Dangrek mountain region peace and stability. Da Kol passed away Trapeang Thmor in Banteay Meanchey around the year 1958. Although, he passed away his descendants continued his legacy but in Thailand not Cambodia. Da Kol's great Nephew Dr. Sukhumpong Channuwong is now Thailand's Royal Educational minister.

thank you, if you want to help her you can email me, I'll give you a detail
I hope you make a series introducing all of the ethnic minorities across the country in not only the rural and forested areas, but also the countryside, center of town and the cities. One suggestion is to include the name of the ethnic group you are covering in the title of the video. The title with the word “indigenous” is too broad and can lead to generalization of all ethnic minorities as a monolith. I think it helps to make them more visible this way. For example, “Funeral Rituals of Kachok People of Cambodia”.
