    It's title & features may be terrible, but it is simply a phase in the life of some specific stars. Most of them are things of the centre of a galaxy, others are quite distant from sun and complete their phase in billions of years, while Human era may be measured in millions. Full-fledged life doesn't evolve on a planet unless distant enough from the harmful vicinity of the universe, as if non existing for earth like planets.

    at first i was confused thinking it should look the same on all sides but then i realized, if the black hole itself is rotating, which it most likely will be, i guess that could have some effect on how it warps light around itself? i presume a perfectly stationary black hole would however, look the same from all sides since their is not top/bottom to speak of

    There has never been a picture taken of a black hole with a camera. Pictures of black holes are composite images (there are only 2 at the moment), by collecting radiation data from multiple huge satelite dishes all over the world.

    What utter nonsense. Black holes don't exist. Something is there sure, but it's not what is depicted in equations, that thing called a black hole. And there is no logical way that there would be a accretion disk on one single plane.

    • @colaboytje
      @colaboytje 14 дней назад

      @@NotJames1 Ok. My comment is to make a distinction between a picture as most people would understand it and the composite image that was produced by collecting radiation from several huge satelite dishes and then inventing and using a very complicated algorithm to interpret all the radiation data and then projecting it as an image. It's not an attack. "Taking a picture" takes away from what we are really looking at and the 11 years it took to get to the image. Or like Neil Degrasse Tyson would explain it: we don't have a picture of the Earth, but a composite image of the Earth, to make it accurate what we are looking at when presented with a certain image of the Earth.

    why would there be a disc on a single plane to begin with? I guess the same can be asked of Saturns rings, why are they on the plane they are on instead of any other?

    • @smart_labs
      @smart_labs 15 дней назад

      FIRST Black Hole is different and Planets or different. In planets it's mostly it because of the centrifugal force (due to rotation or spinning in simple terms), gravity and density. A good example is imagine a tennis ball is dipped in water and spinned at high velocity. One would a sheet of water in the editorial plane when velocity is high. In black holes. The light bends its path over the surface. It's because the very high gravity bends the space (fabric of cosmos) so light no longer travel in straight line.. instead bends over the follows the bend path in the space. Also. There is ring in the 1st image because the source of light and the observer (camera 📷) are in the equator or equatorial plane. When the second image is source is equatorial plane and the observer (camera 📷) in poles (vertical or right angle to it) so the image looks different.

    The picture of the black hole, and all of what he shows here is all computer generated. The actual composite picture of the black hole had sooo much noise that we had to "correct" for and well.. idk about you all but i liken it to looking at something and then looking at a piece of paper and drawing it from memory. At some point, you're making up the detais based on what you think it should be. There is no way of knowing if confirmation bias didn't make the imagine we wanted to see pop out of the noise. Keep adjusting the dials and im sure you can make it look like a lot of things And also, there are other phenomenon that what they depicted could be, it isn't necessarily a black hole - we just really want it to be, want it to fit the jigsaw puzzle and idk if the people that did all that work didn't shove a piece into a spot it's not suppose to be in just because it was close to what we think is suppose to be there.
