It is so funny the choir looks so serious.. I know that they are concentrating on their sound and harmony.. but.. I make it thru until 5:02 when I see the lady with the white hair.. when she smiles and just shows she is enjoying singing this song.. and believes it.. it makes me sob.. Not sure why the lyrics were changed to “then we’ll turn our eyes to the one who’s the light of that city” from the original lyrics that say, “to the Lord, Jesus Christ, on that day.” Kind of disheartening. She has a beautiful voice, but the lyrics being changed has changed my perception of this song.

Wow! This was posted 13 years ago and I am just now seeing it for the first time. I absolutely love hearing Allison singing, but what an outstanding, amazing job she did here with Larnell (Did I spell his name right?). I would have only been 36 years old when this was videoed, now I will be 49 on Friday, so my mind doesn't work as well as it did back then with my health issues. Brian, I remember you back when I was a little girl and you singing with the family. You came to our church. Davis Creek Church of the Nazarene. I honestly never thought you would turn out looking like your dad so much. I'm truly sorry you lost your dad & mom. I know your dad was the same age as my grandma. She passed only a couple years after him from a stroke. She also had pancreatic cancer. My dad passed from pancreatic cancer also at age 69 will be 10 years in December. Are you all singing as the New Speers anymore or did Covid stop that completely for you all? I really enjoyed you all doing that and was hoping you would get around our way sometime here in Charleston, WV. I would be one of the first ones there. I watched one of the concerts online here and I knew all the old Dad & Mom Speer songs you were singing. My grandma had the albums and I learned the songs by heart. My favorite old dad Speer song is Time has made a change in me. I can relate to the song now with all my health issues and almost 50 years old. I definitely as a child could climb a hillside all day long. Now, I wouldn't dare start!
