yes @@AroundTheWorld_with_chris i have a question about the osa peninsula, would you say there is only one camp Sirena, or sirena ranger station in order to see the Corcovado park? I wish to do 3-4 nights there to see the biodiverse part of the park with lots of animals. where is the best place to stay thats not overly expensive but still good standard? and is it only ever done in dormitories? thanks!!

@hibbittino The Corcovado Park has just a few camps where u can stay (inside the national park: Sirena, San Pedrillo, La Leona, Los Patos...). At these stations you dont have any choice, u have to stay at the only accommodation at that place (which normally are very basic camps, especially at Sirena Station), there are no other options. Thats why I would not stay too long at any of these places (I'd say 2 nights at Sirena is perfect because then you have a lot of time over there to discover the wildlife). In any case visit Sirena, its so special over there, everyone who loves nature and wildlife will love that place. But as I said: The lodge is veery basic (group dorm, etc.) The lodge at San Pedrillo Station is better (but there is less wildlife). Outside of the National Park you'll find a lot of nice jungle lodges which are better and cheaper if you book early in advance (for example around Drake Bay). I'd say the best is to combine it: Stay some days inside the park if its okay for you to lower your standards, the rest of your stay you can find idyllic jungle lodges outside of the park, you'll find there beautiful nature and wildlife too (monkeys in the trees, birds,...). One lodge close to Drake Bay that I enjoyed a lot where u have a little cabin for yourself is Sunset Tucano Lodge.

Exactly. One night at the Sirena Ranger Station might be enough, two is also fine. But it is a very basic camp and not what you would consider a jungle lodge. The thing is you cant enter Corcovado without a day ticket (that you should book in advance because in some months there are no day tickets available anymore on the same day) and a guide (this is why you cant access Corcovado without booking a tour). But what you could do is to just stay at lodges close to Drake Bay and make a day tour to Corcovado without staying there overnight in an accommodation, thats possible. For me the time at Sirena would just not have been enough in this case
