The Russians have been known for doping for years, since even the 1900s. Almost every Olympics, the Russians were caught for doping and it had just been expected. Sometimes they even do extra tests on Russians in sports since they are more common. I think it was a good choice, but not entirely fair for the Russians who don’t dope and just want to compete. Sad

Anna deserved the first place. She was so graceful and beautiful. Alexandra did amazing too. But they had different focuses. Sasha focused on the jumps, Anna on the overall performance and the artistry. And Alexandra's breakdown was probably because others convinced her that if she did those jumps, she would win. None of them deserves the hate they got. 😢😢

I think Alexandra is better at technical in the sport, and Anna is more artistic! Either way, they’re both pretty amazing.

You know it’s because she deserved the win. Ice skating is not about how many jumps you do or how the jumps you did were done for the first time. There a lot more criterias to the points. Kamila outdid anya a lot of the times. She has the most smoothest landings I’ve seen in women’s skating. And Anya next. I haven’t seen so quality landings in Sasha’s part even though she can do 4 of the most rarely performed quads. The scoring is based on points and you gain or loose points based on how quality one of those moves are. They don’t score you separate points for ‘breaking a record’ ‘it’s not high jumping’

I loved Evgenia. As much as I wanted her to win, Alina deserved the win due to her sheer athleticism. They are both lovely women, and a silver is nothing to frown about.
