Wouldn’t it be great if everyone woke up in the morning and decided to save the planet? Wow, what a wonderful world this would be! This is my homemade, grass-roots, frugal, reduce reuse recycle, experimental, positive, lead by example, playful, community-oriented, mostly family friendly attempt at saving the world.

Do you have organizing tasks that seem so daunting that you just don’t even want to try? Well, here is mine-cleaning our the hall closet that is home to all kinds of things. Some items are organized by type, like old wrapping paper, and some are not. I’m going to use Marie Kondo’s method of moving everything into an open space and then sorting it based on what sparks joy and what does not. So, ...

Hi Guys, I'm making a Saturday morning trip to the Broome County Farmer's Market and my reusable bag is already full! Why? I'm taking egg cartons, a glass jar, coffee bag ,and wire hangers back to the vendors who sold them to me. Actually, the wire hangers are going to the laundry where my hubby has his shirts cleaned and pressed. But, the rest of the items are going back to the farmer, the api...

Hi Guys, this video is inspired by Megan, who used her mobile app to order and then enjoy a Starbucks Pumpkin Caramel Ribbon Frapuccino as an afternoon pick me up - but then left the evidence as litter in my neighborhood. Hey Megan, take responsibility for yourself and recycle your stuff. But do you know who really deserves the shaming for this - Starbucks. Yes, my favorite coffee place, Starbu...

Frugal Fani hits up the late summer farmer’s market
Просмотров 325 лет назад
Hi Guys, It's Frugal Fani. One way to avoid plastic packaging is to make prepared food items yourself. I'm taking advantage of the last weeks of summer to hit up my farmer's market and buy produce when it is at its cheapest. I'm going to can it, put it up on the shelf in glass jars, and enjoy it all winter long. Frugal Fani says Peace! Homemade! Plastic Free! Awesome!
Red & Blue States all have litter in common!

Hey Guys, It's Frugal Fani and I thought you could use a Plastic Pep Talk! It's August and I've been traveling this summer. I have picked up little in 6 different states - Florida, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, New Jersey and New York. Our nation may be divided politically, but if there's one thing all states have in common it is litter. Yup, every where you go it is the same. Even here, ...
Litter - Not!

Hi Guys, It's Frugal Fani and one way to keep our walking paths free of litter is to replace single-use plastic bottles and coffee cups with reusable water bottles and coffee cups. Nobody's leaving those on the side of the road. Peace!

Do you have an update talking about silicone or and black plastic?
Also - America’s Test Kitchen contacted Ziplock inc who said to only reuse their bags up to 10 times.
All plastic is bad. Use the best you can for things you cannot replicate and use glass, stainless steel, and wood. Use parchment paper.

If 3,6 and7 are not safe, why would they use them with food in the first place?>?
Can you use them for vinegar fermentation? I’ve always been told not to.
Please continue to make videos
Good information 👍
What is the use of raccolta plastica
Is it ok to grow food in styrofoam?
Great video and such important information! Thank you. If I may suggest thought... Go VEGAN! Mammal milk and derivatives, chicken eggs (ovules), and animal muscles (meat) are FULL of hormones, and totally devoid of fiber, vitamin A, vitamin C, easy-to-digest-carbohydrates, etc.! “Animal-foods” are really problematic while plants - grains, seeds, legumes, fruits, roots, leaves, nuts, etc. - are extremely diverse, nutritious and complete.
lol, air slap-- don't microwave plastic. (I won't anymore). Thanks for this wonderful informative video.
no.5 plastics are good for microwave use, but look carefully in descriptions, if microwable or not.
Thank you so much
Update 2023! Starbucks still isn’t rewarding consumers with a better $ discount for their reusable cup, but! . . . They did continue to allow their use after Covid - Dunkin Does Not. Dunkin will sell you a branded reusable cup, but try asking them to fill it. 😢
Thank you so much Ma’am
Thank you so much for the info!!! 🙇🏽♂
I mean hey, it's free video content 🤷♂️ 😂 Really though, fun story!
Excellent information.
You are so cool and cute! Fanx
If it's toxic why do they even make it? If everyone has informed consent and voting rights why couldn't we just decide toxic kind is not okay
Definately a school teacher. A animated goofy adult with a 6 year olds social IQ. The poor lady. Good for her for trying this though. Five stars and a ribbon from me. 👍
Great video thank you for doing it! However the plastic tea jugs have both a 5 and a7 on them? Arizona tea to be exact. I'm confused on how it can be both? Any help is appreciated, thanks again for your help.

I bough storage containers (#5) that mention a warning for California only. It mentions that it has phthalate and lead compounds in it which are known to cause severe health issues. Im not sure if i should thow them i away. What about plastic bottles? There must be so much plastic in our water.
I just purchased a waterbottle which is pretty hard and BPA free, but it's grade 1 I am away from home for 2 months. Should I send it back or keep it with me
Thanks for your informative video.

Just got slapped, I just learned you can microwave plastic, thanks.

THANK YOU!!!

I planted potato seeds inside a #7S plastic pot, should I worry of any harm? What does the S symbolize?
Wonxer why most xrinks cones in #1 ...shouldnt be #2? How many ppls leave drinks bottles in the car or kids have them all say in their back packs?
Recycling (in the usual sense) is designed to make idiots feel good about themselves but is terribly harmful to the environment. It takes more energy (gas and oil) to recycle a plastic bottle than make one. (As a rule of thumb, if people won't pay you for the thing you are recycling, you would be doing the environment a favor by throwing it into the trash.) On the other hand, REUSING plastic makes both economic and environmental sense. Telling people what plastics are safe to store food in is good. Good video.
Loved the posters - lol I’m a visual learner😊
Thank you!! Lady
Thank you I want to plant garlic 🧄 in coffee pots to save a little 💰
Thank you want to plant garlic 🧄 in garden and this will save me some money 💰
Thank you for explaining the numbers of plastics and what they have in them that I don’t want in me.
I'm single, so everyday I i use disposable plates in microwave to heat up my food. Is this wrong? If so what's the practical alternative? Thanks in advance
