Driving in Europe - Lichtenstein Vaduz | From Switzerland to Austria
All of it gone, not a single piece remaining of the memory inside :(
I was on a plane at 9:00 that morning. We returned to the airport. They told us there was an "incident" in New York. I spent the rest of the day riveted to the TV, my luggage beside me.
I don’t think I would work somewhere that high up in the air. 😢
I‘m speechless… Unbelievabale footage!
Was it necessary to put a barbed-wire fence under the observation deck?
I just imagine how terrified the people getting air on WT1 must of been hanging out of the windows being that high up 😢.
So cool and nostalgic! This is great footage documenting the times! But man, the area looked so much tackier and chintzier back then, and that's saying something!
Thank you for all this incredibly detailed footage.
This would've been much better with the original audio instead of the music. Thanks for ruining history. 👎
Maybe you're right. However it could be boring. Most people like the music - Enigma and Bryan Adams cover.
Now put GTA 3 music in the background
Congratulations on the video, it was excellent, Zürich is a wonderful city, I hope to visit one day. I started a channel here on RUclips recently and record in the same way here in Brazil. I signed up, I will follow you from now on. A big hug!!!🙂
Thank you. I am glad you like it.
I know I got to go to the observation deck at One World Trade Center a few years ago, and it was cool being able to see everything. I didn’t feel the building sway either.
I am just so glad that the attacks didn’t happen at a time where all these tourist were up there! Never Forget the lives of the unfortunate people who lost there lives 9/11
I was up there, and watching this made it fresh to in my memory, less then a year before it happened. I went back to Manhattan a year after it happened… I had never heard if the Twin Towers but my cousin had and after we saw the long line at the Empire State Building he said, let’s go down to the Twin Towers instead, so we did. I have a pic of my two cousins and myself up at the top.
I can remember reading somewhere many years ago a professor of neuro science saying if a person falls from an extreme height the brain goes into shock, switches off and the person is brain dead before impact. I hope he/she is right and the people who had to jump didn't suffer. RIP and God bless to all.❤
Imagine people who had to jump from such a height out of despair
Those kodak pictures are eerie.
Lovely video tinged with sadness. I wouldn’t have been able to go to the top of the towers as I’m terrified of heights. Thanks for sharing this video
@DepressedGinger
I never thought they were breathtaking, they were ugly overrated and of that era, gaudy. Also many people, including myself thought they were a death trap after seeing the floor plans. Tragically that proved to be the case for thousands of people on that fateful day and after. I’m glad I don’t come from a place where money and “reputation” speaks louder than safety.
It’s crazy how the early 2000’s are starting to look like the 80’s now
It's eerie to think that people may have been on the observation deck stuck when the planes hit the tower 😮😢
10:23 imagine seeing a plane come right at u
I would rather not
9:37 jumping from there goodness…😢
9:17 wow….they like planned the future..
The World Trade Center is history.
Thank you for posting this gem! I never got to visit the WTC sadly. Really didn't even know about it until the dreaded day. It was beyond cool to experience the beautiful view from the legendary tower from your point of view! I had chills the entire time I'm probably not the only one.
What a beautiful video. Thank you so much for sharing. 9:18 .... When I noticed this postcard I felt 😢 very sad because it turned out to be so real ....
Thank you so much!
@@adamhuskymy father has been to the twin towers in the seventies. His accounts of his visits to New York, his sails on the Hudson River in an era when there was no so much sophisticated technology came alive!
I wish I’d had a chance to visit the Twin Towers, my parents have told me stories of when they visited them when they were younger.
I visited this observation deck in summer of 1999. It was spectacular view and top of the world experience!
Hauntingly heartbreaking sad but also beautiful thankyou for sharing this
So much foreshadowing in this video. From the superimposed photos of yourself falling/jumping off the building to that little boy hanging onto a bar at 10:10, using the same body language and means necessary that those innocent people will be having to do in just two months after this video was shot. 😢
You've here a juwel, my friend. I have never been there, and thanks to you I can see what the south tower looked like inside and the north tower through the windows. . Very sad what happened. Thanks for sharing this part of the past with us. Greetings from Germany!
Thank you for watching. I am glad you like it. Yes. It is very sad.
I wonder how many were killed that was just visiting on 9/11
I was just wondering that myself, I wonder if any visitors were killed. I don't know what time the observation deck opened so who knows. I wasn't lucky enough to ever get to go. I've only ever seen the towers in moves, home alone 2 was probably the closest I was.
Thank you for sharing this ❤
Спасибо за видео, оставили память....
If sometimes happens on the top floor of this kind of building then nothing can be done to save the life of people. It's very unsafe to work on the top floors of this type of building..
We stayed here in 2019 before they were absorbed by Hyatt and loved it. If you keep your expectations in check, you will have an awesome time. I know travel sites say this is a 4 star luxury resort, but it's more like a massive 3 - 3.5 star refurbished beach resort with a beautiful beach lagoon. The staff was amazing and the food & drinks were decent. The rooms are ok. Dated decor but the bed was comfortable and the AC worked. TIP: Reserve your dinners in advance and try to avoid getting a ground floor rooms. Those will have a musty smell sometimes, but the upper floors were not a problem. Upgrading to Sun Club upper floor rooms. The beach is a beautiful clear and calm lagoon FULL of Sea life. It's a snorkelers paradise! if you ever come to Curacao, do yourself a favor and experience the Landhuis Chobolobo Senior & Co. Curacao distillery tour. It's the original Curacao distillery that started it all! They have self guided or group tours. Take the deluxe group tour. Not only is the history of the liquere very interesting but the tour is fun and includes sampling of various curacao liqueres and a complementary desert cocktail at the end of the tour (it's SO GOOD!).
9/11/01 was the end of the childhood that a lot of us experienced in the 80's and 90's. It changed drastically over the following two years with the bullshit wars. Add in social media in the mid 2000's and that was the final nail in the coffin. Gen Z and Gen Alpha don't realize how much better life was back then.
Thank you for posting this. I’ve watch well over 1000 videos of 911, some multiple times over these two decades. I’ve never been able to bring myself to watch a pre-9/11 video of actually what the workers would have seen on that day. This is my first video and, it’s overwhelming. To think of those poor people looking down and seeing the entire world, looking up at them completely helpless, must’ve been just so soul crushing. I didn’t realize how close the towers would’ve looked to each other and how they could’ve seen each other’s faces. That upper part of the north tower was so familiar to me from watching so many videos of the people who were hanging out of them… I mean, you show up to work, you’re bantering with your coworkers, hanging up your coat, getting your coffee, and Wham… you’re having to choose between burning alive and jumping over 1000 feet to your death. My brain can’t even go there. 🤯 😭
The epitome of TOURIST TRAP. Frightening and unnatural view. This is nit the best of humanity. Skyscrapers are GROTESQUE.
Oh so the people inside the towers the day of 9/11 definitely knew something with up. They have a view of the streets below. So they saw all the EMS.
66 Days before insurance ?
I lived in Albuquerque New Mexico when the towers went down. 😢
Why do people state where they were and how old they were as if that somehow matters? Everyone lived somewhere or wasn’t born yet, was at a certain age when the towers went down. Who gives a shit where you were at that time.
Your video came up on my front screen this evening, so I watched. I spent the whole day yesterday on RUclips, watching 9/11 things. Thank you so much for putting this out there. I have not seen a video like yours and I really liked getting to see the inside of the Twin Towers and the views that they had. I am glad that people are still remembering the ones who lost their lives that day and their families. I remember that day so well, and many days after. I will never understand people who want to fill their hearts with hatred, anger and evil, rather than just live the best life that they can while they are here. Thank you, again. I will take a look at more you have done another day.
I visited the WTC in May 2001, too. It was the first and only time I was ever there (typical New Yorker). I had a friend who was visiting me from the UK and the WTC was one of our destinations that day. Looking back now, I’m so glad I experienced visiting the WTC that day.
My family and I were at Twin Towers just a few days before this was taped. We were in town from Santa Monica, California to attend a family members wedding. God bless those that perished. We met a older gentleman, New York police officer, we had a good conversation about New York and Los Angeles in front of the sphere at Twin Towers, I will always remember and wonder if he served the attacks.
This is heartbreaking
What's the song playing @2:10?
This is Enigma - Return to Innocence
Does anyone know who’s singing the Bryan Adam’s song “I Finally Found Someone” on this video?
In original Bryan Adams and Barbra Streisand. In the video there is a cover of the song.
