John Deere 400 on tracks
Просмотров 2,5 тыс.4 года назад
Little video of my John Deere 400 on tracks. The undercarriage was custom built by a local Mennonite. And the tracks are from a snowmobile.#johndeere #gardentractor #lawntractor #dozer #bulldozer #kohler #beast #custom

72 Chevy with 350 with a small cam running after sitting about 8-10 years
Where did you get those track for the 400
I didn’t build it so I don’t know where the guy got them but they are snowmobile tracks.
Wher did you get the set end how good they work how bad is to install them
Very Helpful Video! Thanks For Sharing.
doesn’t that put more wear on the engine?
If you do to much fuel yes.
How can you check the transmission fluid level?
There is a little sight glass on the back of the axle to the right side.
@@orangecummins on the hose?
@@adamelam6385 yes. There should be hose coming out of the bottom then a little glass piece then hose off the top. Fluid level should be in the little glass piece.
What does it do
Turns the fuel up to the motor for more power.
Hey question did make a upgraded shaft for the fuel adjustment?
Nope that’s all factory.
That is pretty cool. Nice build.
I've never seen a John Deere 400 on tracks....
Sweet!!!
That looks like the one I built, snowmobile tracks are a little too flimsy. I am currently working on a JD 430 that gets walk-behind skid steer tracks, way more expensive but they should be much better.
Irvin Zimmerman what state do you live in? I wish it had metal tracks it wants to walk these off sometimes.
@@orangecummins Central Missouri, You can locate me at Versailles Tool Barn.
@@irvinzimmerman1003 yep it’s the one you built. I got it from a guy just north of Versailles. The walk behind tracks would be much better.
Please make more cold starts of all of your trucks from inside or with the drivers door open so we can see what you’re doing with the throttle. Love your trucks! Subscribed
cool
...sounds good...smokes good...love the sound when the rpm is down on the shifts...
How does it feel power wise? Can you light the tires up easy?
How big is the piping
Why is the clutch pedal screaming at you? did you forget to oil it?
If you look at some of my other videos you can see them better.
7 inch bull haulers
what kind of stacks are those
The ole 4spd Chevy.
nice truck.i have a 68 gmc shortwheel base truck
Hey man I'm thinking about doing this to a 95 i just wanna know some insight on what it took
4bt is heavy that's all
Sounds like a Farmall or a 2 cylinder JD with the stack on the hood!
Very good driving gets about 30 mpg and only thing I had to change was brakes has the Chevy 4spd trans
I have a 72' C-10 wanting to do this really really bad I'm retired military 44 yrs young love the 4bt!
Can you make a video of the whole truck?
Yes I will but it will be a week or so.
Your stock turbo is also alot smaller
I can help you with a lot of things but just remember I'm just 18 so I don't know everything but I know a lot. I'm starting my build of my 72 Chevy with a 12v pulling truck so I can kind of walk you through it as I go on that build
It's not really to had to do it only took about five days to get it in and running. With the turbo being on the very back of the manifold I had to do a hood stack I couldn't run the pipe down because of the firewall. I just got an adapter so I still have the original 4spd tans and transfecase and drive shaft.
Devin2520 I'm not sure ill have to look sometime
What year is your 4bt?
No I don't notice it unless I'm watching the smoke. I haven't been bothered by the cops for it either
Smoke stack bother you ! Mines swapped an been flOTing that idea around
it is the 4spd and yes it was the 105 hp I would say its maybe 120-130hp but I really don't know you can really tell a difference when I change pins.
good video-is that a 4speed or 5----before you ground the pin-was the engine a 105hp---how much hp do you thing you have gained--
82 k20 Scottsdale
i think its around 30 but my odometer doesnt work so i can not check it.to do the swap you need the adapter if your using the chevy trans need motor mounts. for the wiring the i used the same starter and alternator wires and just founl a 12v switched wire to run to the injector pump shut off im going to put my 6.2 diesel harness on here befor to long i just hooked up different oil pressure and water temp. i didnt put electric fans on until i started plowing snow because mine never gets above 170
what is your mpg? how much is involed in doing the 4bt swap wireing in and all the guages work??
It doesn't have turbo lag
