I am so torn watching an oil filter being tightened with a torque wrench. On one hand, the owner's manual has torque specs. On the other, I own a strap wrench that'll crush and twist a stuck oil filter because nine out of ten people have no idea wtf "hand tighten then 1/4 turn" means. On my third hand, I have definitely seen oil filters holding on through prayer and faith.
