The text, composed in poetic verse, provides a...

Bow down to That !!
You you don't need to do anything in order to Be. But don't tell that to the mind😄

Yes
I watched ai discuss philosophy and it was a rough listen. At one point they were belittling us as humans as if we were incapable of understanding things in the way ai does. Watching unconscious bots discuss things like love and feelings is cringe as fuck
😬
Unless a machine can be affected. No
😬
Movement and stillness- Jesus Movement and stillness - the upanishads It should be obvious by now.
Consciousness as an overflow or accidental byproduct of physical processes is also interesting. Think of it as tuning out noise or static, useful or not.
😬
consciousness is fundamental
Why are people so stuck on classical thinking with consciousness? The whole entire underpinning of reality cannot be determined. Start questioning why we observe such volatile behavior underneath classical reality and then come back to the consciousness problem.
Philosophical Zombies 😅
The hard problem is just godel's incompleteness theorem.
In "Theravada" Buddhism in Sri Lanka, all enlightened "Baghavath Buddhas" appear on earth , after eons of life times of purification of the mind, as a fulfilling universal qualification to perfecting qualities of "conscious energies" described in Sri Lankan Buddhist pali canon / texts "marghadi " Buddhas' spoken sound language written Pali Tripitaka" as "paramitha kamma" (perfectible universal deeds). The Baghvath Buddha has described sentience beings existing in 31 realms. All creations in this universe are "energies" with influence of the six ( 6 ) aggregates "elements" 1. sound (ears ), 2. taste ( tongue ), 3, smell (nose ) 4. seeing (eyes ). 5. touch (Body ), 6, feelings(heart ), under "causality" cause & effect . The Buddha has described how universal energy called "kamma" manifests in human form through human faculties of seeing, hearing, smelling, taste, touch & mind (past experiences) called " SANKARA " energy, in Pali canon, through Human 6 aggregates, amalgamating with external world experiences of feelings through the Human "Heart Organ " as electrical waves signals to develop a "seed" to become "conscious energy", which continues to the brain as a "thought" and this continuation of experience is stored in the "subconscious" mind in the human brain called "mano" (pali ) (mind) in Buddhism. This" perception " action is called "thought". Thought becomes a conscious energy, called "kamma/karma = consciousness + phenomenon in Buddhism.Theravada Buddhism in sri Lanka thripitaka
😬
I know the answer to the hard problem.
Breathe deeply and slowly , keep thoughts away , blank the mind , if it puts one to sleep , do sleep …. do it in a quiet place … trust me , you after few such episodes will start falling in love with this process Keep the mobile silent You are complete All pangs of greed , aversion and cravings source energy from our ego , our make believe self we on our own below this layer of ego are free , complete …connect with that 🙏🏻
I had a dream with Mooji also. I was preparing breakfast for him. Specifically, oatmeal with bananas, and orange juice with strawberries. I dont know the meaning of the dream, but it was interesting and memorable
😬
Maybe it means you have delusions of grandeur?
There is no practice and no attainment of anything. In the question is also the trap. Be a Light to yourself!
It's becoming clear that with all the brain and consciousness theories out there, the proof will be in the pudding. By this I mean, can any particular theory be used to create a human adult level conscious machine. My bet is on the late Gerald Edelman's Extended Theory of Neuronal Group Selection. The lead group in robotics based on this theory is the Neurorobotics Lab at UC at Irvine. Dr. Edelman distinguished between primary consciousness, which came first in evolution, and that humans share with other conscious animals, and higher order consciousness, which came to only humans with the acquisition of language. A machine with only primary consciousness will probably have to come first. What I find special about the TNGS is the Darwin series of automata created at the Neurosciences Institute by Dr. Edelman and his colleagues in the 1990's and 2000's. These machines perform in the real world, not in a restricted simulated world, and display convincing physical behavior indicative of higher psychological functions necessary for consciousness, such as perceptual categorization, memory, and learning. They are based on realistic models of the parts of the biological brain that the theory claims subserve these functions. The extended TNGS allows for the emergence of consciousness based only on further evolutionary development of the brain areas responsible for these functions, in a parsimonious way. No other research I've encountered is anywhere near as convincing. I post because on almost every video and article about the brain and consciousness that I encounter, the attitude seems to be that we still know next to nothing about how the brain and consciousness work; that there's lots of data but no unifying theory. I believe the extended TNGS is that theory. My motivation is to keep that theory in front of the public. And obviously, I consider it the route to a truly conscious machine, primary and higher-order. My advice to people who want to create a conscious machine is to seriously ground themselves in the extended TNGS and the Darwin automata first, and proceed from there, by applying to Jeff Krichmar's lab at UC Irvine, possibly. Dr. Edelman's roadmap to a conscious machine is at arxiv.org/abs/2105.10461, and here is a video of Jeff Krichmar talking about some of the Darwin automata, ruclips.net/video/J7Uh9phc1Ow/видео.html

The internet doesn't need this garbage.
😬
From Vedas, Tantra to Quantum Mechanics since last 150 years New Age movement, only two things emerge ~ Akasha & Prana ( Infinite possibilities or space and singular universal energy ) So essentialy samadhi is not a topic of mental, intellectual discussion or it can be only experienced. It happens automatically without slightest efforts or even knowledge of yogi. To achieve this feat needs many lifetimes good karma or merit, purity of many layers. Samadhi is subatomic, subcellular energetic Union its overwhelming transcending everything ~destroying our physical, astral bodies ego, karma etc. I think one should not get involved in this arduous exercise instead if we just need to make progress by purifying our hearts day by day bit by bit. Intellectual, philosophical is just mental chatter as it does not work with energetic level which is in parallel timelines of the universe.
😬
Thanks!❤
Back in 1990 I ordered a Book called "The Secrets of Chinese Meditation" the Author name is Charles Luk (Lu K'uan Yu). That is the Book that caused me to accept Buddhism. Charles Luk also put out 3 volumes Books called "Ch'an & Zen Teachings. And I also spent some time in the Altar Sutra of the sixth Patriarch of Zen.

See Saralamuni I live in a Bible Belt town, and it's just me by myself practicing Buddhism. It's alot of Churches & Christian folks here. I came up Christian, but I don't mean to offend, but the only thing far as Salvation that makes sense to me is Buddhism. And it's a text called " Manual of Zen" by D.T. Suzuki & I pray & practice some of the Mantras out that text. And also spend time in the Earth Store Bodhisattva Sutra.
I posted a new video for you the title is "Manual of Zen Buddhism by D. T. Suzuki | Deep Dive Analysis | Buddha Podcast"

I actually started out reading & studying the Zen Teaching of Bodhidharma. Then it was a author name Dwight Goddard that translated Buddhists sutras into English in a book called "A Buddhist Bible", and that is how I came across the Surangama Sutra, Diamond Sutra and the Lankavatara Sutra. I also studied the Sutra of complete Enlightenment as well. I'm mostly off into the Pure Land sutras now.
I forgot to mention, outside of the Diamond Sutra & Heart Sutra, I spent alot of time in the Lankavatara Sutra, Zen Teaching of Bodhidharma, Surangama Sutra & the Vimalakirti Sutra. I started studying Buddhism around about 1991, but I didn't become Buddhist until the year 1998. Altogether, I been involved with Buddhism about 27 or 28 yrs now. But I still don't know all answers. I'm not a Mr. Know it all.
That’s great, check out my playlist Buddha Podcasts for more reading recommendations, those are all in there for sure!

In 1998 when I was new to Buddhism I was afraid of the Avatamsaka Sutra. Because it was a big thick Sutra & something was making me afraid of it. But I studied the Diamond Sutra alot & Heart Sutra & commentaries for yrs. Then whenever I did purchase the Avatamsaka Sutra and read & studied it, I understood it quite well because the Diamond Sutra & Heart Sutra set the foundation for me to understand the Avatamsaka sutra. Now I am no longer afraid of the Avatamsaka Sutra & love it.
There's the problem right there, the guy is in doubt and confusion because he's practising all the beliefs from many so called teachers and guru's. Well if you over impose a guru upon yourself, of course you will see and speak with that guru in your dreams. So lets all parrot a guru or so called teacher because that will justify everything a so called teacher says is correct and then to say, quote; " dont take it from me take it from Ramana Mahashi" is only an attempt not to parrot by distancing oneself , but it's still parroting. Look, it's up to you if you want to believe someone who sits around in nappies like Ramana. Lets get to the, quote " highest Samadhi".which is a state to attain spiritual liberation. Even when someone is in Zen mode, what they see or learn they think its an illusion. So whats the point of being in Zen mode, or, Samadhi mode where one of the paths is the liberation from samsara, the painful cycle of rebirth. There is no point nor does it mean anything in reality because reality couldn't care less what state of consciousness you are in nor what you perceive. There is no universal consciousness because the universe is random events which doesn't require to survive nor evolve and random means " done without conscious decision". You your lineage inception has already manifested from the elements of the Universe and transcended, and that means your lineage inception FORMED source within has had many rebirths that are not painful, after all how do think your lineage has come thus far, definitely not from guru's beliefs.
😬
Is God a sadist? Is earth hell?
No and no.
We practice to cultivate the meaning that the Buddhist images represents. For example, Maitreya represents loving kindness, Manjusri represents wisdom, and Samanthabhadra represents Great Conduct & vows & so on. The same applies to Sutras,we practice to attained what's within Sutras. The images & Sutras are just teaching aids for our practice. And we look at them, they show us that we need to have the awaken mind & not the deluded mind & thoughts.
Muchas gracias y namaste

😂 There he is, for years guiding people, sharing love and peace, wisdom and acceptance, not calling for wars or violence, not spreading hate... thousands of people went to see him, to share a moment in this life with such a great man... and all you can see is filtered through your own jealously... as Rumi said, what you see in me is a reflection of you... so is with any guru, mirror of your filth...
Try to live what he says and then understand instead of dismissing which every stupid mind does

This Deep dive discussion afterwards made by AI with Notebook LM is amazing. It's almost scary how well this artifical intelligence can understand even things like spiritual teachings better then humans can. Like they have no ego getting in the way 😅.

Are you a bot? Cant you tell apart from reality and a fake representation of it. How do you even listen to that
Wrong question. The question is, how much do you have to “lose” to “realize” Samadhi.
Yes, agreed, how much condition must dissolve
Everything
The text ( The Direct Approach To Buddha dharma ) says: The image of the Buddha, regardless of what material was used for the making of it, should be approached with the same veneration "AS IF" it were the real Buddha. You should bow to it with sincerity every morning and every evening. At mealtimes you should make an offering to the Buddha first. We should understand that following the Buddha's final nirvana, the image representing him has the propensity to reduce our karma, eradicating our defilements, bringing the cycle of birth and death to a halt and guiding us to the attainment of samadhi,as long as we firmly believe it is the real Buddha. One of our wise forefathers composed a verse that says that "A painting or a statue make the real Buddha appear clearly. Take refuge within yourself because virtues and blessings can still be obtained by oneself alone."
In the year 1998 when I was new to Buddhism,I went to the Houston Zen Center in Houston, Texas. And the men sit on one side of the Buddhist altar & the women set on the opposite side. And I made the mistake of sitting right in front of Buddha ( because I was new & didn't know ). And the head laymen of the Zen center told me,it is against the Buddhist Tradition for you to be sitting right in front of Buddha. So I moved to side the men were sitting on.
Perfect !
