Battle for survival: Lion vs Warthog.
While following a male lion which was walking on the road there was a sudden scream coming from the the thickets not far off the road. The male responded immediately and so did we. about fifteen metres from the road we came across where the second pride male caught a warthog and still busy suffocating it, the noise attracted the females with cubs, but the males didn't allow them to come close.
however the most amazing part was to see as the night progressed the two males allowed the seven cubs to feed with them but not the females.

Clan of Hyena stealing kill from Lion pride

Came across these lions which were on a kill. Once the lions took break to rest the Hyenas moved in to try and steal the rest of the meat that was left, however the male lion would have any of it and chased the hyena and vultures off to take back ownership of its meat. such interaction is not very common sight.

Battle of the "Dogs"

We came across this interaction when about 15 wild dog took on about 20 hyena on an open "field'. Clearly there was no winner as both parties were equally weighed. The fight could have started due to the fact that the wild dogs had pups with them and this was a whole protection action from the dogs.

So typical cat. finding this beautiful leopard sitting in the fork of a tree trying to get out of the rain and dry . The expression on her face showed that she was not impressed with rain. the way she looked at all the vehicles was just a sign of to be left alone, even when she got out of the tree her body language was that of not being impressed.

After following up some vervet monkeys which have been alarm calling like crazy, we found this leopard in a tree which i presume was a family member of the monkeys previously sharing their alarm calls with all to hear. After feeding in the tree se muxt have realised that she dropped a piece and got out of the tree to go and find it and feed on the ground.

While just sit and watching a breeding herd of elephant, this large bull came out following a female. clearly he was interested in her. then a long awaited sighting took place right in front of us, they started mating, a sighting very rarely seen.

OMG, who's handling the camera?? Very poorly done -- horrible camera shaking all over the place & more views of the sky & trees, & people ,than what's going on down on the ground. AND the few seconds of lions was very fuzzy. I heard someone say "look at that one" & what was the camera showing -- trees & sky! And "there goes the lion" & "here comes the other lion" & the camera shook all over the place on trees & bushes, a woman's hat, a man smiling. Maybe the people out there saw what was going on -- we certainly didn't see anything on his side.

Hi Carol, sorry for not having sound on some of the video clips, the reason therefore is that the people on the vehicle are really noisy and therefore i have switched it off. please have a look at some of the new content where there are some awesome natural sounds,

People used to think of Hyenas as "Revolting Scavengers", but they're so much more than just that.
True, few people actually realize that they hunt most of their own food.
Hyenas aren't really dogs at all, they're, in fact, a large member of the mongoose family.

Hi There . There are three sisters with the 9 cubs. One had 4 cubs one had 3 and the other had 2.
What do a mother Lion and her babes do at night together?
The mothers were taking the cubs to a new site away from where they were born, for safety reasons.
Sad that they will have to struggle for the rest of their lives.

Both Hyenas and dogs score pretty high in animal intelligence- there's a lot going on in those brains and maybe instinctual reactions of hostility are overruled by curiosity and even a kind of playfulness. Hyenas in particular I find very hard to read and they seem very complex, interesting animals.
Very true. There is so much we dont understand why animals behave un certain ways.
