She has always identified herself as being black. What i love is that she embraced that since she was little and her her mother never tried to tell her otherwise. Mc knows she's not fully black, she's only been accepted by her dads family, she grew up around them she acknowledges it. I think that like her newest album from 2014, the "Memories of an Imperfect Angel" (from 2009 that she is promoting here with the "Prescious" film). The album was in general badly promoted and the singels that she or the record label chose as singels were not the always the right choice. Like the last single "H.A.T.E.U" was a good song, but not the song that should be a single. It´s a little to boring for my taste. I love when Mariah does a big ballad or a fun dance song, So i hope that she brings it back to her 90´s music with her new album. So that the fans and the newer generation can have some of that nostalgia back and with a good quality of songs to match. :)
