Honestly don't use a tool, but "go hard" - like ho as quick as possible, while holding the part you just did. Stretch the thing from underneath, and that's easy (do go too hard)

That's pure bullshit (at least for me). In my Edifier W800 BT you just need to unclick the plastic ear pad with material soft part part by GENTLY pulling by the ear pad (there are regular plastic latches - so do not broke them). After you unclick the plastic ear pad part you can easily remove the old material ear pad and insert new material ear pad (however there are several plastic latches that hold the soft part - so you need to make some small holes inside your new pads with scissors/knife). That's super easy but in this way you can be sure the soft part is fixed). Enjoy!

I literally just replaced the pads on my 15 year old AKG K240s watching this vid and they are like brand new headphones! Stretching the pad into place seems really stressful at first but they actually stretch a lot if you just get your finger under there and pull them over - don't be scared, they have a lot of give.

Issue is clone brand replacement ear pads are a few millimetres too small in diameter. I've been chasing the rubber bit in circles round the headphones for hours with a spudger and still no luck.

I find the solution of the people who can't replace 1. you just focus on the grill instead of the plastic (solid) and put the grill into hole. 2. the plastic only use for your balance when you tired to put the grill into hole (another hand). sorry for my grammar but i hope this will be useful for you're guys :)

This video forgot to say have them stretched on small pile of books cuz the earcups need to sit well and use hair dryer to heat up the glue for better seal
