Fixing a bottom board so that my OA vaporizer fits in the entrance.
This is a quick video about how I opened up my hive entrance vertically to accept my Oxalic Vaporizer and then horizontally reduced the entrance to prevent robbing and the like.

In this video I explain Minutes of angle and how we use minutes, or parts of minutes, to shoot accurately at ranges we are not zeroed for. Keep watching because at the end of the video I give you something super useful for the next time you sight in your rifles.

Make your own 5-gallon community bee feeder
Просмотров 223 месяца назад
In this video, I show you how I make my community bee feeders to get me through the dearth or to feed the bees up good for the winter. I misspoke at about the 5:15 mark. I said 3 pounds of water when I meant 3 gallons. If you like this video, please like and subscribe.

You might know a thing or two. Good video.
Thank you!
😂😂😂😂
Me too got two feet still going to school
KEEP IT!! PLANT IT. GROW THAT SHIT DOWN THERE! 😅😊😅😂
Thanks so much for your response to my question. I had not considered slope distance v actual distance. Good stuff. Much appreciated!
Thanks for this video. Very clear explination of MOA. Keep the videos coming. BTW - do you take in to consideration altitude, humidity (air density due to moisture) or light/heavy rain. Asking because I dont really know what to do in those situations. If I am in a blind then I would have a clear scope and could consider taking a 3-400 yd shot in the rain or sleet. If I get to fill a bucket list and hunt West in a higher elevation what assumptions/adjustments do I need to make on my MOA? Thanks in advance.
@@toneydavis9802 Great questions and another video idea! I'll post answers to this in a video today or tomorrow.
@@toneydavis9802 new video posted answering your questions.
Enjoyed your video.
@@toddgustaveson1805 Thanks for watching and the compliment.
Finally have a scope! 😂 Thank you!
You're welcome. Did it all make sense? Thanks for watching and commenting
@@topsoutdooradventures You made it a breeze! Could never get a concise explanation and how to adjust. 👍
Good information thanks!
Thanks! I have so few people that actually watch these that's it's great to get a comment...lol. Got any ideas on a video?
@@topsoutdooradventures I think there are a few portions of this video you could crop and upload as a short, shorts seem to help grow the channels quickly. Also, a video on dialing in a new scope would be pretty interesting if you get a chance to.
@@jp-go7hg I thought about a short, but I only have one minute for a short
Hell no the snow is like a drunken one night stand you can keep it
Sir i would gladly come get it. We currently have the cold but not bot the snow. Just some flurries but we're missing that beautiful glittery snow. (Its not ugly at night with lights above making it sparkle)
Yes, it is very pretty. I don't really mind it since I don't really have to get out in it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@topsoutdooradventures no problem ! Feel free to shovel it all and bring up to NH if you want though 😅
@@samanthaa7900 I would but I'm a big gun guy and there are a few states between us that frown on the law-abiding citizen carrying firearms. I'd end up locked up...lol
Sorry😂
hahahahaha
I forgot to mention that the feeders are designed to be left on the hive all the time as they serve as an inner cover to keep the bees out of the very top and propolizing the lid to the hive body.
Wow! Those are like little hive tank!! Nice presentation/review. I would try one for sure.
If you like the FN 545 tactical you'll love the FN 510 tactical more capacity and more horse power...basically the exact same pistol...good video thx.
Want to add to a comment I made earlier: It may be the greatest. I put over 100 rounds in my 545 MRD today and it is one accurate pistol. Shoots outstanding.
I had been debating on getting one. I've been busting my buttwotking two fulltime jobs so I decided to treat myself to the fn 545, not the tactical. I can't wait until next week. With the 100.00 rebate, it will be an early Christmas. FN makes great pistols. I have the 509, FNX 40, and had the FNX 45.
I also really enjoy the G41. The sight radius, the inexpensive 13 rd mags, It’s light weight and simplicity. Since it’s a Glock I can repair or upgrade %100 of it with a simple punch, slide pusher and a small bolt driver. I put XS DXT2 sights on and with the wand like balance of the G41 target transitions are fast. It’s a coarse sight picture, but once you figure out the sight alignment and sight picture for longer ranges it can also be precise. My thought behind this is sight/target acquisition speed is more important when threats are close. With target focused shooting this setup is faster for me at closer ranges with enough precision to make effective hits. When this model gets the Gen 5 treatment I’ll be considering another one. It’s hard to beat for me when I consider all angles… Good discussion video.
@@Zzero5728 thanks for the feedback. I carried my 41 for a long time but it has kind of been replaced by the FN545 Tactical. Thanks for watching!
😮
I appreciate the shout out!!
You have definitely made good on your statement, "I want to be your beekeeping mentor."
Great video, I enjoyed following along with your inspection! In my opinion, the colony structure looks okay to me. Not much in the bottom box and brood and food in the top box. This is one of the ways a colony will structure itself for winter time preparation. Your honey/nectar frames look good too, so much open nectar means readily available food for everyone. Queen cells: were they cells or cups? Cups are normal to have throughout the hive and is of no concern. You’re doing great!
Thank you sir . I think they were just cups. I don't know exactly when a cup becomes a cell but they were empty. We'll see in about 12 days when I inspect again.
Awesome installation! It was fun to watch that process, nicely done!
I forgot to give a shout out to my mentor, Jonathan Hargus. Thank you for always answering my calls, putting up with all my questions and giving me great advice! Check out his channel - The Hive Doctor
You do good work sir
Absolutely!!
Tree roots wrapped around it
That's what I thought, especially near the big tree, but I didn't see any evidence of it.
Omg 😳 😮😂. That’s seriously like WHAT?!!!

This was my first ever 45. Got it about a month ago. Up until then I’ve always carried a 9mm. Either a Glock 26 or a Glock 19x. For a while if it wasn’t a Glock it wasn’t for me. Up until I bought the FN Five Seven a year ago. That purchase farmed me into getting the 545 Tac. I’m 36 and I figure it’s time to grow up and carry “the lord’s caliber”. FN is daggone good.
Hell yeah brotha!!! I have the previous version the FNX-45 and absolutely love it.
This is the third time I'm commenting, the first two times did not post. Of course I'm an 0811 idiot. For the price of that thing I gotta stick with my 30+ year old Thompson 1911.

How cool and what a great thing to start recording from the very beginning. It took me several years to even become open to the idea of talking in front of the camera. You do it naturally.

I'm still waiting on my fancy microphone to help cut the wind. Stay with the video though, it's not too bad.
Great seeing actually muzzle awareness also.
Check out Lakeline llc if you are looking to upgrade the internals.
Thank you. I'll keep them in mind.
I don't have the tactical but i have the plane G3 and an od green G3C and I love em! I say it all the time but my G3 is one of the most accurate pistols I've ever had. I don't do a ton of speed shooting but I do do a lot of distance shooting with pistols and its amazing how accurate even the compacts are. Awesome shooting bro!
Thank you. I'm really enjoying it. I get pretty high on the back strap and I do wish it had more of a beaver tail, I've been "bitten" twice both times dropping the slide.
@@topsoutdooradventures lol yes sir she'll get ya if you're not careful. Taurus has been really good about listening to customers suggestions for last several years and hopefully the G line of pistols will come with extra back straps like the gx4's, but I do have to say that for 300 bucks, or actually a little below, I'm pretty dang impressed with these pistols. Thank you sir for your time and videos. Damn good shooting btw!
Sorry about the wind, not much that you can do about it in Oklahoma
Do you think the wind was on your audio on the air as well? Hmm... that would suck.
Awesome video! I hope you find the queen soon
I don't know why the voiceover is a little out of time. I'll get better at this video and editing thing.
Awesome, everyone should know firearm safety
I thought you were a Glock guy? Did they convert you brother?
Yes sir, I have been converted. I never really was a Glock guy though to be honest. LPD had me on the Glock train.
