This is crazy concidering i was born in 2009 and im now in pope marching band we're better now but this was very cool

This was my freshman year in the band. I played trumpet and was somewhere around the 40 yard line in that square of trumpets at the beginning. The Lassiter Band was amazing to be a part of. I live in Texas now and Band directors here know how famous Lassiter is and they know Mr. Watkins is a legend.

OMG I love this show! I am a Allatoona MB Allumni and I got to watch you guys at BOA Atlanta prelims and finals ground level :) Love all the solos!! You guys were amazing with this show!

@MrJacobtc Well, no -- it's a very famous song called "Simple Gifts" from Elder Joseph Brackett. It was also famously written into "Appalachian Spring" by Aaron Copland, which is what has made it so popular. I will say that it's one of the most performed melodies of all time in band music.

@JessOnTheRun learn your facts before you try to degrade the quality of a band that you have never seen, heard, or been in the presence of. our program isn't about winning, its about being the best we can be. if you need to spend time ragging on other bands to fulfill your need to be number one, go right ahead. and secondly, Mr. Watkins started directing in '85. Also, you wont find a member of the lassiter band going on to other bands videos and trashing the performance of others.

@JessOnTheRun 1.)this was probably filmed after a long Saturday practice and near the beginning of the season 2.) the staff, Mr. Watkins especially has been working with lassiter for 30 years now and has 3 national championships 3.) we also play on the national stage... (Macys Day Parade)

1) that drum major switch was awesome....never seen that before :o 2) music is amazing......i can see how you all are 3 time grand nats champs 3) visuals could have been better especially marching 4) strongly disliked the DM screaming mark time and the snare giving the tempo 5) wish there were alot more guard overall a very good show :)

@areyoukiddingme when you say that do you realize that you are basically saying in a national competition that you could beat them ?their shows are much more diffiult than most high school marching bands in the area including yours.not to mention they won the BOA regionals that year . did Alpheretta participate in the regionals?
