10 Sarek august 2022
One week hiking through Sarek national park. Starting it with a helicopter ride from Kvikkjokk to Staloluokta in Padjelanta, then hiking east through Álggavágge to Skárjá cabin bridge over to north side of Ráhpaädno river and then the high road to the Skierfe cliff, further on to Aktse cabins and the King's trail down to Kvikkjokk.
Sorry for the sometimes bad sound and dizzy picture, I filmed it with my Sony xperia mobile.

En tur upp på Rödfjället från Tänndalsvallen innan midsommar 2022. Hiking the Rödfjället (1243m) in from Tänndalsvallen in Sweden the week before midsummer so quite early in the season, but not much snow left. This peak is just north of the Rogen area and the start point is easy reachable by car. To the west you can view Rogen area of lake system which makes me wanna go there kayaking or canoei...

I will put together a bit longer version of a smaller trip in June to Hemavan and a couple of days on the 'laponia trail' that goes between Hemavan - Borgafjäll. A 5 hour hike up the Sonfjället mountain peak 'Högfjället' in Härjedalen. Sonfjället is a national park created 1909. I started from Nyvallen.

Hiking the Padjelanta trail in northern Sweden. A very beautiful national park just 'behind' Sarek. The hike went from north to south and ended in Kvikkjokk. I spent 7 days, a little too fast, maybe 8-9 days is better. Short kayak trip in lake Rogen - I had planned a few more days but had to head home earlier since our dog had some surgery. Since this could be a dangerous lake if weather suddenly turns bad. I had choosen to bring drysuit and a sat phone etc, although good weather so didn't need that nor the compass e.g. Dispite mosquito net and keeping jacket on in the heat I did get a lot of horse fly bites ...

Kort vandring från Las Playitas (Apollo Sports-hotell) till Gran Tarajal över bergen. Blev en tur till affären för att köpa ingefära vilket jag tycker om tugga på vid förkylning. Blev förstås en kaffe och macka. Fint och behagligt väder och gött med en öl väl tillbaka vid hotellet. Såg flera nordafrikanska borstekorrar, små kaxiga gynnare. 2018 was the hottest summer ever in Sweden and Rogen also, we were there few weeks later in August and any kind of fire was prohibited... and first time for 11 years there were a lot of mosquitos and horse flies.

Since you are writing in english i will do the same and try my best. In the beginning i saw you eating fish that, i think, you have bought somewhere. Then, later on, I could not see any rod on your pack. Not all who hike in padjelanta know that there is a fantastic fishing along terraätno. below Nunjes you can fish trout and röding, in swedish, above there is only röding. There is a waterfall a little bit above Nunjes and the trout could not climb the waterfall. My personal favourite is near tarralouppal, my spelling ?

Great video, consider leaving music out and leaving natural sorround sound.no better music than that from nature
thanks, I actually try that but my gopro sometimes is loud with nasty wind sound and in this movie I had some still shots so thought I needed something to smooth it out. I have briefly thought of some other recording but the gopro is small and handy, I like to keep minimal effort in recording :)

Reminds me so much of Erik's master vids. Personally, I could do without the infusion of sound (music) bites. Let nature play her sweet music for all to hear! Great work otherwise. By the way, would you consider explaining some of your equipment in a future video? I especially like the footwear.

Are you drinking that water w/o filtering? Can’t do that here in USA...
No Giardia in Scandinavia. Though in years with huge population of lemmings, there can be a bacterial pollution of the waters. But it's generally not something to worry about
