This scum bag crook still haven;t learned his lesson...The workers at National Steel Car stood up to his authoritarian ways. After having a hand in killing 3 people in 3 years in what amounts to industrial murder he tried to ramrod a crap contract down our throats and we told him to shove it. Now, he withholds our money we earned to punish us for being rebellious slaves...Your time is coming Aziz...You can only push people so far...

HIs workers at National Steel Car are on strike right now. He decided not to pay us our earned vacation pay to hurt us more while on strike.

Johnny was a caring fun person whom I appreicated for his humor. He could make me try harder to reach my goals just by making one goofy little remark when I wanted to give up. For that I will always be grateful. I miss him a lot.

I can’t imagine that building not being there! It’s a landmark and a sign of home. So happy we can get the shirts again. Love The Swampers and Sweet Home Alabama. I’m so proud to be a member of this community and know my obsession with music comes from our beautiful Singing River!

RIP to my old Bamalama friend.

Was at the studio this past Sept. from Canada. David drove up in his vintage sports car and we felt that much closer to the history. Didn't meet him but such a charge to see him after being informed of the Swampers accomplishments. This studio was the BEST part of our entire trip!

You only get 24-38 hours of weld training. Furthermore, bad welding habits like whipping and/or weaving the weld are tolerated and trained. It is estimated that over 92% of all "welders" at FrieghtCar whip and 36% weave. After a prospective customer came through the plant, bringing their weld professional with them, they noticed the FrieghtCar welders whipping their weld, the customer had concerns. That very day FrieghtCar made all employees sign a document that they would not whip any longer with the threat of termination if they do so. However, whipping is not only tolerated but suggested from the training instructors, supervisors, and management. The document was only to appease the customer. Tests have always indicated that whipping and weaving make for a very weak weld. It is only practiced by an unprofessional, untrained welder.

Earl & Charlene wrote many songs for George Jones,my favorite is "We're Gonna Hold On' and "Loving You Could Never Be Better".Charlene must get her talent from the Gilstrap clan..LOL, She was born in Pickens county,SC and is sister to Pauline Thomas from Liberty,SC.Charlene lived with George for many years and toured with him and Tammy on the road.The Montgomery's live in Alabama now and own their own recording studio there.They wrote over 70 songs for George and several for other artist..Earl was also guitarist in The Jones Boys band.The both now write for the Lord..Amen
