FALSE. It's somewhere between 11k to 16k, I've seen different listings, but defiitely not 25k and definitely not World's longest, not even Europe's!

Bullshit the length. The ski run from Plateau Rosa to Trockener Steg is flat and boring, much better to ski down to Cervinia 2050m or to Valtournenche (1550m).

For such an iconic resort I found the only part worth skiing was way up on the glacier. Its where the snow was.

Madeleine isn't a "hotel" as such, it is self catering apartments.

I rode the off Piste, beautiful 8" to 10' of powder at the end of March. The run is fantastic!

The longest run in this area is from Klein Matterhorn to the car park in Valtournenche 17km, but from KM to Zermatt is not very long at all, certainly not 25km !

it is just me or do the slopes look more like blues with one red? Some slopes marked as red and you need to push yourselves with the sticks cause it's going uphill. Nice video though.

Ski cam footage is so much better these days! I’ve been to Obergurgl once, I had a great time but my wife hated it. She felt it catered too much for the rich people in the 5* hotel on the slope. We stayed in the more reasonable Hotel Wurmkogel half way down the slope which was fantastic. I would have gone back as the run from the very top to the very bottom is one of my all time favourite ski experiences.

Night skiing is a whole heap different from daytime. Night skiing will take your technique back at least 5 seasons which is why your upper body is fighting the early section and you are neither planting your pole nor making smooth turns. The gliding section at the 5m mark gave you a reference with other skiers and everything from that point improved. Concentrate (in daylight) on keeping your upper body facing down the fall line and defining not just the start and finish of each turn but the transition between turns. The smoother the transition will define the advanced/expert skier from the intermediate/advanced skier. All that aside, good for you in completing the run in one go. That takes a lot of energy and you should be well chuffed with yourself. Sorry if this seems patronising - not meant to be - artificial light plays tricks and for 100% of us that ski, we revert to our core competence. This is a BRILLIANT training tool for all skiers hungry to improve. Sometimes improvement polishes core competencies. Other times it highlights errors in technique that need to be changed. Thank you.
