Sam's is SO good, and always has been that you don't even need a fork. It's beyond tender. Sam's burned down several years ago, and the customers literally helped rebuild it. Nice to see the home folks staying there. Things in East Austin have changed, but not Sam's!!❤❤

As a resident of Austin, I grew up down the road from Sam's. It's sad we don't appreciate our Black owned business when we were young, but now I'm older, no longer living near 12th Street and Chicon. I've moved to Beautiful Southwest Austin. Since East Austin had been severely gentrified. I no don't pass through there because it's too painful to see how they've invested in the infrastructure now when they never put a dime in keeping the streets clean and safe, investing in Black owned business or anything of the like back in the 70's,80's & 90's. I'm proud of Sam's for his staying power. And I will make sure my family patronize his historical establishment. ❤T-H-A-N-K❤Y-O-U ❤ SIR! FOR SHOWCASING OUR EAST AUSTIN HISTORICAL ESTABLISHMENT. 🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾
