Outgoing click on the drag, nice feature, that’s another big selling point for me. Truthfully I’ve been looking at these for a couple months now. I fish exclusively shimano. How does this compare? These bates reels look so darn good. How does they cast? Are they smooth? Do they cast far? Are they loud when they cast?

The iTrek takes the Lynx's portability up another whole notch, without a lot of downside. I solo kayak around Vermont, the Adirondacks, and western NH, just exploring lakes and rivers that appeal to me. It's the icing on my retirement cake.
