Because stat cast isn't a person who understands the complexities of baseball and has situational instincts. A stat will never be able to tell the whole story or take all the factors into accounts. Stats are just convenient for all the new score guys that don't know the guy but want to learn a little bit.

advanced metrics and analytics doesnt make any sport better or great. doesnt matter what the numbers on paper ever say. a computer cant predict hit probability nor show anything meaningful. players advanced stats arent anything good or great about baseball. team wins matter more than individual performances and only morons think otherwise. you probably think managers lose games as well. players win and lose games and nobody on the sidelines off the field/court contributes to any wins. play calls still need to be executed by the players leaving the players responsible for all failures and all successes. why are fans so fucking stupid

Nice! Another function I love using is illustrator, whether it's gameday or whole season. For instance, I noticed the other day that against left handers Freddy threw changeups mostly at inside corner which is different than last seasons'. Then I realized the shape is different as well as it had more horizontal movements and he's using it to backdoor the hitter.
