I don't imagine there are too many of those old mowers around, a real antique! Thanks for the carb cleaning tutorial. I've never done a cleaning before but have to with the price of an OEM carbs.

I just picked up one of these for free today. Do you know if anyone makes rebuild kits for that old carb or if there are aftermarket carbs available?

I've got an LT2000 in my shop with the opposite problem. It'll move, but once it starts going, it won't stop. I suspect the belt is wrong. It's too tight to the point where the tensioner can't relax the belt enough to stop it from turning

Offf...ok here we go. I'm going to try and do this in my yard with the deck still on.

I took bolts out around 2019 and starters were around $263 I’m just now getting around to putting it back together and I guess now the part is around $45. But the bolts WILL NOT GO BACK IN! Cleaned the holes used hydraulic fluid then stripped the bolt. Geez! Such a simple repair gone wrong. Thanks for sharing this!

Great video it helped me replace the belt on my new to me mower. They only thing I'll add is that I was able to replace the belt without completely separating the deck from the tractor. Overall great job and thank you.

A commonly overlooked issue: when reinstalling the flywheel cover assembly, pay close attention to how the heat shielding hooks into it. Missing one can/will result in a damaged cooling fan. Don’t ask me how I know.

Great video. Step by step and super easy to understand. Although I'm stuck trying to get that 18mm bolt out of the axle. I tried heat, an impact and brute force and nothing is breaking that thing free!

The armpit hair shot was kinda funny, btw.🤭 UPDATE: I faced it and did it. It was a lot more logical and straightforward than I though it would be. Added, I had to replace one of the intermediary pulley wheels. No biggie. And, no mosquito bites. Thanks, again.

Lifesaver. Your video is so clear, precise, articulate and visually excellent (except for a little bit when you are pulling out the carbie and your shoulder is in the way). You don’t waffle on with unnecessary commentary. It’s not easy to get everything right but you have managed it. Anyway I’ve got mine out and the only question is, what are you spraying into the holes in the carbie?

I went to 4 different places trying to get a belt for my cub. I ended up and got my belt from Tractor supply 21 dollars and some change + tax. The size of the belt: 1/2 x 78 "V" belt if you don't want to buy the expensive belt that Cub Cadet sells. Props on your video! It was more in depth and in line of what I needed to know to replace mine. I was happy that it did not take me as long as I thought it would.

How did you get the belt into the bottom pulley with the teeth that keep the band from slipping out. You can't remove the top pulley in order to do it and i can't seem to figure out how you got the belt squeeze through

I'm really surprised at how many different versions there are of the Craftsman Lt2000. So many differences. That plastic fan in the back over the drive unit, mine doesn't have. Probably a good idea to take a photo of the routing of the belt before you take the pulleys loose in the middle. Thanks for the video. Every little bit helps.

I have an unresponsive throttle pedal...same mower...my drive belt doesn't seem too loose and the fluid is full. Do you think it's the belt or perhaps the rear end is shot?

Ground Drive Belt is a PTO belt to power the transmission. Drive Belt CRAFTSMAN BELT 125907X 1/2 inch x 90 inch (outside circumference)

I have a LT1046 with 57 hours. Had thrown a deck belt, had to slightly loosen the tensioner pulley because it was stuck under it. Tightened the thentioner pulley, Put it back on and now the spring started rubbing the pulley next to

I thought the spring on the cam had came off because mine had the same symptoms. When I went to adjust valves and try that first, I removed the valve cover and it was filled with a mix of gas and oil. Carb must be stuck is what I've determined. But I went ahead and pulled the motor off to drain it and inspect.

Great vid I was just about to pull the flywheel to get at the stator. Last fall I had a question about the fuse block connectors and ended up ordering a service manual pdf for 30 bucks. Wiring diagram and schematics answered that question. Went though a new battery this spring turns out I boogered up that connector after watching this video. Battery is now taking a charge!! Thank you very much! Man, when I had an up and coming lawn maintenance business in the late 80’s we didn’t have internet yet lol . Service guys couldn’t keep up. I’m not anti business , but this you tube and guys like you have saved this ol boy some cash over the last few yrs ! Thsmks Agaim!!!
