Cool video. You should make air clamp video.
Coming soon! I'm planning on making a smaller one to use when i'm only pouring a couple molds.
Nice 👍
Thank you!
I really likes the baits, but I would have suggested 70/30 but the opposite of what you did. I would have done 70% green in the back and 30% white in the belly.
I was thinking that same thing after I ran it. I love that 70/30 injector. I'm going to run some craws in my diablo color using 70% back and 30% belly. We'll see how it comes out.
@@PiratebaitcompanyAwesome! can't wait to see how that turns out! I have the 50/50 and the swirl injector. I think I need to grab the 70/30 to complete the set.
@@baitchuckinyou have a swirl injector for a shooting star?
@@Piratebaitcompany yessir! They sell 3 different Twinjectors. Swirl, 50/50, and 70/30
duuuude! I just ordered one. Have you used it yet? I'm really curious on how it works.
Tasty baits man, nice! Quick question/comment about the Shooting Star... I was surprised that you could run it with just 3 cups per side. Is that the minimum? I thought you couldn't run it with less than 6 cups per side but I'm talking outside my depth LOL.
Thank you sir! I have the mini shooting star and you can run as low as two cups. The bottom of the mini shooting star is shaped like a funnel, so you can run less plastic. The full size shooting star is limited to about 6ish cups per side. The bottom of the fill size is flat, but most people prop up the back and tip it at an angle in order to run less.
@@Piratebaitcompany no kidding… wow. I know it takes forever to get one, but man… smaller capacity (3-4 cups per side) is a nice surprise! Thx for the info!
@@SDGCustomLurecraft I ordered mine back in November and it took about 8 weeks. I guess he's caught up with production and the lead time is shorter.
@@Piratebaitcompany oh wow… last I heard was 11 month! LOL
@@SDGCustomLurecraft The 11 month wait is over at "Fishing All Out" for their hot plate. Ultra Molds is really good with their wait times and you don't pay until your order is ready for production and shipping.
that looks amazing ,
Thank you!
Awesome video. I appreciate you! Tight Lines 🎣💪🏼
Thank you bother!
Great video brother!
Appreciate it!
Solid information! Question though, what are you using on top of your bottle to stick you syringe tip into?
Thank you for the compliment! Below are the caps I use to hold the syringe tip. I buy them from www.lureworks.com ACC-5519-YRK1-2 1 & 2 oz. Yorker Cap - 6 pack 6 $2.95 $17.70 ACC-5520-YRK4-16 4 & 16 oz. Yorker Cap - 6 pack 1 $2.95 $2.95
@@Piratebaitcompany and those screw on to all different manufacturers' bottles?
@@calvinnegrete913 i've used them on lureworks, Dead on and MF without a problem
Really nice set up your father and grandfather would be super proud
Thank sir! I really appreciate that!
Thats a gooog looking swim jig well done
Thank you sir. It's one of my best selling swim jigs...it catches a ton of fish thats why I decided to make the matching trailer.
Love the colors would work great here in Alabama on Coosa River. Thanks for the work you do. If you don't mind what kind of vise that you are using. Thanks and have a great day and God bless you and yours Phagin
Hi Phagin! Thank you for the compliment! I actually made the vise. I’m planning on doing a video this winter on how to make one.
Really like that vise what would you charge to make me one of those. Would really like to have one thanks again for all you do and God bless you and yours Phagin
Hey Tim, I like your boat! Could you do a video going over your setup pros cons and what you would change? Thanks! Keep up the good work!
Hey Damian! I hope you're well! Thats a great idea! That would be a great video as I'm getting ready for the fishing season. Maybe something I'll do this winter as I prepare my boat for the upcoming season.
Great color bait.
Thank you!
Great video's capturing all from beginning to end!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for watching!
Awesome color great vid I got my baits cant wait to fish with them top quality baits 😎👍🏻👍🏻
Good luck! Send me some pics when you catch a few!
Nice Work!
Thank you!
What's a Biat?
LMAOOOO!!! Thats a dude with fat fingers! Thanks for letting me know...you're the only person that pointed that out.
Do you reuse the syringe, clean them out?
Yes, i'll use them multiple times for the same color. Eventually though they become caked up with colorant and don't operate properly
Did you make the video on making cooling plates? I’m very interested Thanks Larry
I haven't yet. I"ve been so busy making baits that I haven't had the chance to do that video. It's on my list though...I need a few more cooling plates.
Do you tie the jig with straight braid without a mono or fluoro leader?
Most of the time i tie it to straight braid. It's a reaction bite, so the visibility of braid isn't a problem. Secondly, i'm usually fishing it around cover or through grass so I want to be able to move the fish away from cover or keep the fish from burying itself in the grass. The only time i'll use straight floro is fishing clear water in the spring during the shad spawn.
Very nice perch imitation, looking forward to seeing a Bluegill swim jig!
Coming soon! You can check out the bluegill swim jig at www.piratebaitcompany.com
@@Piratebaitcompany Great video! What color of trailer is good for the bluegill swim jig for bluegill imitation? Thanks!
I like to use green pumpkin/watermelon laminate.
Put syringe in color push air out then draw up
Thank you! I think that was the problem...i wasn't pushing the air out before i drew the color in.
Male perch trailer I will take the baits And awesome vid as usual
Email me your address: timk@piratebaitcompany.com
I’ll take those blems! Still look great to me!
I always have a few blems...honestly that's all i use because the non-blems get packaged and sold. Pretty sad when you own the bait company and all you get to use are blems! LOL! Email me your address and I'll send you some when a do another run: timk@piratebaitcompany.com.
Good looking baits, Tim. Perch are a primary baitfish up here in PNW and not enough bait companies have jigs for em. I’ll be watching for them to hit your site.
Thank you! I grew up in upstate NY and perch was a huge forage fish.
Missed you adding the pearl, think later in the video you said it was added to watermelon side was it white pearl green pearl? Great color. Thanks
Omg...i'm so sorry about that. I must have edited it out by mistake. I was Lureworks green pearl 1/8 tsp.
Amazon and a ton of other places have luer lock bottles make sure you check the ml capacity.. with the syringe in after shaking turn the bottle upside down draw and purge a few times to burp the air out one down fall would be making labels for each bottle after you fill it but the benefits out weigh that. screw the syringe back on use it as the cap . avoid the risk of knocking a bottle over with no cap I use to mix e-cig liquid I've had the rubber insert seperate from the plunger causing me to punch a bottle while using a syringe in an open top bottle .shop smelt like pina colada for a few days lol
Thanks for the info. I"ll check out the luer lock bottles. Sorry to hear about the pina colada! lol!
Another great video thanks for sharing your tip and tricks.
Any time! Thank you for watching!
Great job explaining everything. Enjoyed the video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
45 mins for the answer? Not worth my time bud
Thank you for your input.
I just subscribed to you today. I really love your set up I was converting my garage into a workshop for making bats and jigs also but I ran out of money But I am looking to start back up once I get a little Dinero And then inch my way into the industry I may be selling my bates. What do you think? and do you have any suggestions? Thanks love your channel.
Thank you Anthony! My suggestion would be to take it slow. Do your research on the equipment...you can either make it yourself or find it used for much cheaper. It's a very competitive market and really over saturated with people doing it, so be sure to do your research on social media marketing.
Great video ! Lots of tips 👍🏼
Thanks so much!
I have a question about a pattern I’ve always wanted on a senco. There’s a bait I grew up with and know for some odd reason I kill the bass on them I just want that same pattern on like a 10” power worm and sencos. If you’re interested I’d love to chat even if they are more expensive it’s fine.
At this point I just don't have time for custom stuff. Working a fulltime job, running a small bait business and keeping up with all the social media stuff has me working my butt off already.
Awesome video thanks for sharing your thoughts on salt 🧂
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you liked it!
I don't sell baits, but have been pouring for several years now. Like @jimk4267 I add 1/4 cup per cup of plastic. I have found that using BP142 (Soft) and adding some softener gets it really close to the texture and sink rate of a "Senko"
Salt def slows the entire bait making process down im not too worried about it as im extremely close to getting the formula down thats similar to the senko. In fact i call them the Bary Jagamoto brenko's lol. Pretty sure i can legally call em that since its pretty different and parody names are part of the fair use doctrine.
Thats awesome dude!
Great video...good info. I am a hobbyist, making for myself and a buddy. 1 to 2 cup batches. I do use 1/4 cup of salt per cup of plastic. It is does slow me down and I am not as concerned about air as the baits are for my use. Love the set-up. That shooting star looks awesome. Great videos...keep them coming!
Thanks Jim! You have more patients than me...1/4 cup became to frustrating!
One tip is turn the music down or off. Check 9:40 we can't hear you over the music. AWESOME setup 👍🏼
thank you for bringing that to my attention...I wasn't even aware there was music there. I'm still kind of a rookie at this youtube gig!
Where did you get your vise ? I am new to tie up jigs. Love the channel so far, keep it coming.
The one that I have i bought at a local tackle shop. The key is to get one that has a locking knob by the jaws where you insert your hook. www.amazon.com/Esquirla-Rotary-Aluminum-Tabletop-Fishing/dp/B0CLPBFK4W/ref=sr_1_199_sspa?crid=3IQL681AJ37RY&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.e-DdtibOeXHpIPN688nknznu3_o6_V48oqjoeOdo_SHAyxq6sBkt7AMLJR_DleKGKASmu6uNzZVtwAJnEUxzc8YzxZXFKlC17xX2Vuqci9QyemzujMVCA5N8WYhJIoSkMkVanTwLySwuqRZZRmGB-1my7Kog5i2GderXdwA0K1F_maHLL6BMUbOMs6FSffRO1cNmw2pDqGT0MmVVaBrP8kUyQRMlPtHrX0A6mEVq3YTBO2Zlp9R-8l_vAn9NqbqG58NFbiv2Z1pg1-ZAbuIdSQQBpbtNNts9bGFifEYDTB0.NDvwMKGAhSe_0X64IdLemkRApLrFR3X19ERXRz0gq3g&dib_tag=se&keywords=rotary+fly+tying+vise&qid=1720642868&sprefix=rotary+fly%2Caps%2C138&sr=8-199-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9tdGY&psc=1
That link will take you to one that's similiar
Could you share the cheat sheet?😁
Actually, I think what I'm going to do is post the formula as I'm making the bait.
@@Piratebaitcompany Thanks that will work!

Glad you like them!
Great video, thank you. I appreciate the information you provided. I am looking forward to the clamp build video. Again thank you

I don't have open face reels like those, but I do have Sharkey3 baitfeeder KAST KINGS. Theyvarecnot quite as smooth as Okuma , and Shimano, BUT You can't beat the Quality , bang for buck. THEY WILL....Grab alot of Market share away from the Big Players.
they're making great improvements and their high end reels compete with the big players. Skeet Reese signed with Kast King two years ago and has been providing great insight.
@Piratebaitcompany Oh for sure my fellow fisherman, Kast King is right on the heels of Shimano, Okuma ect. Its sort of like KIA...Vs Honda, Toyota. You get near equal quality for 20% Less
G'day mate, I found this video extremely interesting and one I enjoyed also happy to like and subscribe and am looking forward to future videos.
Awesome, thank you! I post every friday, so look for more in the future.
Not to discredit you but these plastics melt and react with other plastics. Need to get medical grade silicone plastics that dont melt, tear or react with anything else. We make them in Australia 👌
Hi Kizzjd9578. I think you might have my products confused with another that's on the market. Pirate Bait Company products don't react with other plastics and they don't melt. They may tear from a fish strike or if you pull on them really hard. The plastisol that I use is used by all major soft plastic manufacturers with exception of one company that I'm aware of. Thank you though for your comments Tim K. - Owner: Pirate Bait Company
Hi @kidzzjd9578. Your comment is not correct. Sorry. all good but didn’t want people to think the wrong thing. These are good old plastisol baits that we love. You are thinking of TPE baits. Zman is TPE. Custom bait makers like pirate use plastisol which is a plasticised PVC. The reason the zman baits look like they are melting is because the of plasticiser migration from other soft plastics. Silicone is a different material again. TPE and Plastisol are both thermoplastics. Silicone is a thermoset so it won’t melt again after being vulcanised/heated once. Which is why it’s often not used in production baits.
Thank you for the additional comment! I really appreciate you clarifying.
great stuff looking forward to some more stuff 👍🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲👍
Thank you William!
That a solid color pattern!! Thanks for sharing 🤙
Thanks bro! 👊. Love your channel!
@@Piratebaitcompanyappreciate that 🤝 I just found your channel and I’m looking forward to seeing more
I have been making my own jigs for about a couple years now and it is definitely fun. I tie the skirts the same way you do. I found that tying them with the material towards the head makes the material more full in the water and not try to cling to whatever trailer you are using. Plus it makes it fuller.
That is awesome!
Thank you Damian!
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
