What and when was this recorded? I love it. Just saw PJ at Greek in LA 10/14/24. A magical night, unbelievable tear jerking performance!
@@neroltecneops59 This was recorded at the same time as Hope Six, around 2015 at Somerset House at the recording project she did where you could go and watch her recording the album.
@FayboCo so cool, I never saw this, a real treat. Anything PJ does, speak, sing, & just existing, gives me chills of joy. She really is a remarkable woman!
That's a cool badge. Can you make a video showing how you make the badge? You know the exact day Dry came out 😂
@@spmnh I don’t have great resources for making videos currently but I might do when I can!
@@FayboCo No problem! It's super cool that you got some signed stuff from her. Did you write her through email or paper mail?
Glad to find out I'm not the only teenager of today who hasn't forgotten how absolutely beautiful and brilliant everything Polly has put out is!
It's good to know that PJ Harvey is appreciated by younger audiences. I'm glad to have found Faybo's channel because it's cool to see the PJ stuff she posts. I also have some PJ stuff on my channel if you're interested
What did she say she likes to watch? A Perfect Day Elise is such a good song and video
@@spmnh she said she likes to watch EastEnders.
@@FayboCo I wonder why she watches that lol
thank you for showing your fantastic collection. i too have the is this desire red vinyl. didnt realise it was a booleg what with the glossy sleeves and island logo. it is really well done. did you get a copy of the live war child charity single?
@@freespeechoneeach yes! The war child single is great. Yeah that bootleg is well done, I think there was a whole series of them such as a Blue Dry vinyl.
Never heard this before, thank you! The q&a part was lovely
same
@@Maymun_Maymun I apologise for the poor quality, I don’t have the resources to properly upload them :( glad you guys liked in nonetheless though
Polly is Queen

sweet
Thanks for opening my ears to this wonderful group! So original and wonderful.
@@erichamradio919 so glad you like it ❤️
Fay, you have just an incredible collection from wonderful PJ!! So very interesting and thank you for sharing, dear.
Thank you ❤
nice one! I've just been getting into PJ Harvey for the last couple of months and I'm about to start collecting. I have been through this with Oasis so I kinda know what to expect but who could predict how I'll cope financially :D
Hi Fay!
Great to see your PJ Harvey stuff! I have that same Q magazine and same NME (Interview with the vamp) one. I also have Spin (May 1995 and April 2001), Puncture (Spring 1995), Option (March/April 1995), Pulse! (March 1995), Melody Maker (July 10, 1993), and some other NME, Melody Maker, and Spin mags from the 1990s in which she's not the main cover picture. Some CDs I have are Europe 1993, Build Me a Woman, The Crow: City of Angels soundtrack (Naked Cousin), promo CD single for the song "Dry" with the Rid of Me tour schedule sticker, Too Pure - The Peel Sessions, Good Fortune exclusive Austrailian CD single, Is This Desire with bonus disc, Henry Lee CD single, and her CD singles from the 1990s and early 2000s. I remember wanting to get the Reeling video but they didn't have it here in the US. That's so awesome that you have the signed stuff! Sorry about my long-ish comment!
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS RAHHHGGGG (its Madeline btw :3)
@@000WZ hiiii madeline!!
@@FayboCo ur videos are so fun to watch I literally binge them whenever I can 😭🙏
@@000WZ thank you girl
Hey fellow PJ fan! Hope you're doing well! I went to see Johnny Marr last night in Washington DC. I'm seeing him again in a couple of days in Boston lol
Ah, the PJ & John Parish set for John Peel’s birthday?
@@slacktoryrecords4193 Potentially? I’m not sure. I didn’t record it I bought it from so,some else and it doesn’t have too much info about it
Awesome! I was actually planning on posting a video of Man-Size that I recorded at her show a few weeks ago. It's the only complete song that I recorded
I meant to mention before that the guitar part at 2:35 and the guitar part from Maps by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs sound very similar
It does aswell! Cue “wait, they don’t love you like I love you”
@@FayboCo Haha! where did you get the recordings from?
@@spmnh bought all these tapes off a collector a while back. About 12 for £40
@@FayboCo that reminds of when I used to buy some of her bootleg CDs of her shows back in the early 90s 🤣
Don't sleep on Tricky, particularly the first three albums and also Lamb
@@seanriley199 I’m a fan of Tricky! His first album is amazing and the collab he do with PJ I have on single twice
Prediction: in 15 years, "Roads" will be your no. 1. It's one of those songs that hits a lot harder when you've had the life experience to empathise with it.
agree
the lack of things in the background made this video unbearable to watch, sorry
HENRY KAVA NOO
I remember when I first heard this song on the radio back in 1993 while driving in my car. I didn't know who it was at the time, but I knew I wanted to hear more of her
I love her hard rocking stuff 🎸🎸🤘🤘
My favorite part of Plants and Rags is totally different lol. I really like the first time the strings break in and sound crazy (but the whole song is good)
wandering star should be higher 😤👎
