For me it just got too sweaty. Also i was used to a lot of movement shooters, so after i started to regularly practice valorant's shooting mechanics i felt i got worse at those other games. For example, in valo i play with low sense, and don't move while shooting, while titanfall i have high sense and i am always moving. I felt i got worse at titanfall the more i played valorant. And secondly it just didn't feel fun anymore. I got sweaty, raged, felt bad all for what? No fun? And especially now that Marvel Rivals came out, i am having a blast in that game. Even ranked is fun and there is so much variety. Final nail in the coffin for why i uninstalled valorant was marvel rivals releasing.

I don't think its necessarily bad it's a little agressive way to balance agents but at the end they're balanced so they have their place in the game and are valid picks on all maps. Iso for example got buffed so hard it was overpowered but after the nerf there isn't a map where he is a trollpick, same for yoru/sage/deadlock/phoenix. I think their goal with that is to see how much they can buff them so they can have their place and be valid picks everywhere and i think they do it with pro play in mind. They don't want the game to be stale in few years cos there is one meta comp for everymap and all the teams play. With balancing every agent like that in the long run VCT will be 10x more interesting to watch and everyteam will have a different approach and the amount of strats they'll be able to do will be insane. So in a sense they sacrafice players in pugs for longevity of the game.

i don't understand why they ever buffed neon in the first place. as a duelist main, i played her alot and she was great already. Those insane buffs made it clear to me that Riot is intentionally making flavor of the month agents just to nerf them later on (obviously). I quit playing right around that time. Now i've heard Phoenix got a pretty nasty buff to his flash.....another agent that I think was in a great spot already. Maybe i'm biased as a jett main but it's just a joke to me

Solid feedback dude. Change driven by pick rates can dicey to begin with. Is there any indication that they test the game at the macro level? In other words is poor execution of changes a problem (lack of testing for ex.)?

games these days are all orientated to what the developers "think" the player base want and even just ignore and push their own agenda on what they want their game to be. if they listened to their playerbase more consistently they wouldn't lose as many players as quickly as they have been. Examples of games that died due to this go far but the most recent ones: XDefiant, Overwatch, Rainbow Six Siege, all companies with track record of not giving two fricks.
