Hey Brandon! Interesting experiment - I definitely prefer that center strainer too. I use mine all the time! Pink and brown is a great combo, and the blue gave it a fun accent! House paint is very different in viscosity than regular acrylics, so that might explain some of your surprises here. It's almost elastic - which is why it's perfect for the bloom technique. BTW... where is your family from? My last name used to be Oliver too until my step dad adopted me! I grew up in Ohio but don't have much contact with that side of the family. Maybe we are related!

I just recently did my first strainer pour and feel that I had my paints too thin. I love that blue in there. It helps bring a brightness to the whole look. The dried look is beautiful!

Hang from a string at different heights and slightly touch the line in different lengths for bigger and smaller movements. Or have it motorised and get patterns by having it wind around a cone shape or better still different shapes to make all sorts of results. Even attach a sail sort of setup and put it out on a windy day! Get creative instead of this old time way!
