What is the correct weld temperature? Or how hot should the flat iron be to get a good weld?
You mean this same V-belt?
How can this be so impossible to find on your page?
I replace the V-belt on my table saw with a link belt, and loved it. But very soon the link belt started climbing one side of the pulley, and eventually started being thrown. So I carefully adjusted the alignment of my pulleys, got a new link belt, and had the same experience. Any thoughts on what could be going wrong?
Can I use this on a lawnmower
Our product should not be used in a lawn mower. Through testing we have found that on clutching/declutching applications, PT Drive doesn't declutch like the rubber V belt designed for the application. This leads to a safety issue. Please reach out to us for more information
I use powertwist for the transmission-engine belt with good results, dont use a tensioner that pushes on the back of the belt though. For the cutting deck you need lawnmower specific belts. I tried...
Anyone watching that has ever done this, knows that lady’s hands must be like vice grips!
My thoughts exactly!
how do you remove the weld bead ?
Great presentation, easy to follow thankyou.
Price ??
Bagaimana saya bisa membeli belt pulley seperti itu ? Berapa harganya ?
you can find all the parts on mcmaster, you just have to find what fits your application
I want a captive welding and captive cutting machine
Great
Thank a lot for share. I replace my belt in my jointer. Now is working wat better that before .
I never move from one fastener to the next immediate fastener. Go in a criss-cross fashion and work your way around that way.
Does melting polyurethane within an indoor environment create fumes that are carcinogenic to maint. and/or shop personnel?
Great job Brad and Chris, huge help for the demo I’m doing
I need this on vhs
How much price of this tools?
A como el metro
Great way to destroy a belt, rolling it over the edge like that.
With a traditional v-belt yes. Link belts by design can do this with no detrimental effects...
Is these bets are useful for a 6Ft conventional lathe for it's head stock transmission.
Hey! Liked the video, good job. Did you consider using Promosm to help grow your channel?
Good products- importer of Fenner Drive products in Hong Kong and mainland China
I do not understand 1:05 what are you doing here?? And why?
Very good job explaining......wish all videos were that clear!!!!
efficiency comparting conventional belt
I know industrial application videos don't get many views, but thank you for having these videos up. I'm about to attempt this on a 14ft application to turn a Munters desiccant wheel.
what if the pulleys are the same size. . . ?
หาซื้อจากไหน
I was looking into changing belts on my tools, and I seen these, and it peaked my curiosity. So I cam here, and I was sold in a few minutes. Now let's see how well they do with high rpms and heavier loads.
so how did it work out 2 years later?
@INVICTUS FARMER eghhhk. I ended up going back to regular belts. The regular belts did just fine. I expected a justifiable difference... it was like using a Dewalt drill and upgrading to a Festool. They do the same exact things, and while it might do something a little bit better, it wasn't a quantum leap in any aspect. ... It was still a belt, but it required more maintenance. I couldn't just pop it on and forget about it. If I didn't use say the drill press for an extended amount of time, I'd have to release belt tension or the next time I used it, it would be wonky from the belt being shaped around the pulleys at a certain spot. It would take a bit to get warmed up and straighten back out, where a regular belt never really had that issue. Basically, it overcomplicated the process without providing any valid improvement.
@@carterscustomrods fair enough. ty for the reply. ill give that some thought.
@INVICTUS FARMER well, it never hurts to try it? Lol. I'd probably like them if they were $10 but with regular style belts, and even Poly Belts being so inexpensive and still effective, it's hard to justify $35-$70 for a belt. Either way, best of luck!
@@carterscustomrods im curious about them because my particular application doesn't lead to adjustability of belt tension. being able to pop a link when it gets loose is very appealing lol
very good info. thanks
is that work table solid 5/8 steel plate that coupled with that magnificent vice is very distracting

Couldn't get past 1:09 WHERE ARE YOUR GLOVES YOU DIRTY DIRTY MAN
una consulta. en el caso en que el motor gire en los sentidos, como en una maquina herramienta (por ejemplo: un torno mecánico) seria útil este tipo de correas? Muchas Gracias
What purpose do these belts have, ?,,they seem way too stretchy to drive any kind of tool that requires a constant tension to operate efficiently...IE lawn tractor mower deck.
they are used in some conveyors and in some hvac units they are used because they are cheap and useful when you don't need much torque.
we use them in all our Fish cutting machines, for pully
Very often utilized in either light material handling or also food processing facilities.
I'm honestly very surprised as to Fenner still marketing this unit: They absolutely missed the boat vs. friction welding units such as BEHA. BEHA is faster, utilizes less consumables and lastly doesn't expose operator(s) to the risk of being burned via a heating element.... eliminating a potential lost time or reportable injury. Engineer Chris Ward (background dialogue) is a great guy; I've met him many times in a previous life. He was always much more personable than his old counterpart, Warren.
We use them at my job, they are used in some of our paper bag machines.
which moter is used in this blower ac or dc
PLEASE GIVE ME THIS MACHINE
Looked a bit slack to me !
Perhaps now I've finally found a belt that will correctly tension and stop my trousers falling down ;)
When I looked up Manheim Belting it sent my to a site that linked to this youtube channel. Is Fenner drives related to Manheim Belting in any way?
PLEASE GIVE ME THIS MACHINE (FORM INDIA MY CONTECT NO-00919824761912)

Let's see what that belt looks like after a few thousand hours of hard use
older tractors, and equipment, often have a hydraulic pump annnnd motor mounts in the way of replacing normal V belts, these link belts last longer, work just as well and you don't have to dismantle the entire front of the machine to replace them... anyway, I've seen some that have been in steady use for decades, with no signs of giving up.
Had one in use 8 yrs until it failed
Got one on a Lister jp3 generator, made in 1944,with at least 8500 hours on it,and still going strong
Where there is no mechanical advantage (an obstruction to the installation shown here), can a belt tensioner by used on the outside surface of the belt?
