We live in Nanning, the capital city of Guangxi province, which is in the south west part of China.
This channel is a family project making songs and videos to help kids learn english.

Only problem with winters in Beijing is the killer smog that’s basically breathable cancer
Have you been there? It's not always bad, I remember when I lived there it could be terrible air for a week and then a strong wind would blow in and it would have the best air in the country for a while 😆
@@letsrollsnowball I haven’t been there myself but I’ve seen plenty of videos, pictures and studies about it, and it does seem a little scary 😟
@@luuchoo93 It's not as bad as western media makes out 😂Sometimes it's just fog as Beijing is in a valley. You'd know when the air was terrible when you couldn't see the other side of the street. But in recent years they've really made it much better compared to when I lived there. There are more electric vehicles in China than I've seen anywhere else. Things are changing, but it takes time.

Not at all. Beijing's air has changed a lot over the years and is now much cleaner than it used to be. And even 6 years ago there were times it would go from heavily pollution to perfect air in a night because of a strong wind.
Hutong is the word for the alley created adjoining home. The Chinese word for these homes is siheyuan.

I've been to Beijing 4 times but never in winter but I know you may see some snow in January. I know that December months have snow also. Enjoy your trip. Wish I was going back :)
I used to live in Beijing, these videos I filmed from Christmas and through January. Some years it snows a lot, make sure you wrap up warm though it gets cold whether it snows or not

what is the best month to go there with snow?
That's hard to say, it was different each of the years I was there. I hear it will be a cold winter coming up, so perhaps the best time for snow will be January sometime. The year I filmed this video it didn't snow much, the year after it snowed a lot.

It will be cold this year, just wrap up enough and you'll be fine. I really like the winter in Beijing, it just goes on for a bit too long. Like the previous comment mentioned, hotpot is great! And there are plenty of other dishes to keep you warm :)
