THE REAL QUESTION IS HOW TO LEARN NOT JUST COPYING WHAT IS THERE BUT TO LEARN HOW TO BUILT IT UP ....
This worked perfectly however I discovered that if you're migrating into a Third Person Project you change the pawn class in "Third Person Game Mode" instead of making a new game mode( for anyone who doesn't know ) also, go into Third Person Blueprints and change it to CBP SandboxCharacter. I'm having some issues of my own but they have nothing to do with this tutorial, mine being that when my character lands after a jump he goes into T Pose and the walking/running anim no longer plays. Not sure what causes this but as I said it's an issue with my blueprints...... If anyone knows a fix/ solution to this I'd be grateful, Thanks
Thanks for sharing the useful tip! About the issue you're facing, have you messed around with the inner workings of the system at all? If so, it may be helpful to go back into the main sample project and cross reference the original code with your new one, making sure you didn't forget a connection somewhere.

now, how to replace that character?
Hey bro 😊! It is kind of tough to change UEFN character with another mesh (depending on the type of character you are replacing it with). For example, if you are trying to replace it with a Metahuman, you should migrate the metahuman character from the sample as well and replace that is it is much simpler. Same goes for Paragon meshes, default mannequins, etc. For custom made characters that aren't rigged to pre-existing skeletons, the process may vary on a case by case basis.

It's a very, very good guide. The same could be applied to MetaXR Plugin 5.4.3 and Unreal Engine 5.4 and MetaQuest 3. The most important thing was to turn on the options related to the 'developer mode'.

what is the point when you can just directly work on the GAS directly ? :l
If you're just playing around, working in the actual project is perfectly fine, but if you plan to use this as the locomotion system for a real game, it is better to just migrate it to a clean project rather than attempt to clean the unnecessary junk that comes with the sample.

When I pack the game to my Quest3, it simply do not load. So it only works with Link, not with packaging? Thanks
I would double check if you have the settings correct in the project settings for both hand tracking and for packaging to Quest in general. 😀
hey bro, nice1 although did you figure out/can you tell us how to use parkour jump animations? i've noticed those invisible boxes on top of blocks (don't know their name, im a beginner lol😅) and i assume that's what triggers those animations- please help 🙏🏻
Yeah, so you're correct! The ledges are what actually triggers the parkour, and all you really need to do is get the boxes successfully migrated and then use those in your level by making them invisible and place them with your environment's geometry. I know that it's not the best way, but I myself am still playing around with it and trying to figure out a better way. 😀
i've tried it- i've put the whole box with this white invisible SOMETHING (do you know what's its name? haha) and made it invisible on place of my 'desired' object (a desert rock) and it didn't work, it animates normal jump, it's confusing but i think it's matter of this white invisible box on the ledge- if i'd only figure out what is it and how to create/generate it lol (it has to be some object with blueprint tho)😵💫😵💫😵💫🤣
@@mam9zyc If there are any collision going through the ledge box where you are trying to climb it won't climb. Even a handrail and just a little bit of collision is sticking out off the top it. It don't work if the box is too small as well.
