These were still on the shelf when i started in 1996. Dont remember the price though. Good flavour set. Hymn to Tourach remains insanely OP even in today's times there is no card printed like that.
probably like half of what they where new. This set dropped like a stone after release and stayed under 40 bucks for years and years.
It's funny you mention how cards are overpowered now. I remember when Mirage released and I was so mad that the commons would be a 2/2 with flanking for one colored and two colorless and before they'd just be a 2/2 for the same making older cards useless.
Urza Block. Saga, Destiny, Legacy. That's the definition of OP. The entire set was broken. The green elf that gave you free mana was a common. The Urza Lands. It was broken. I came in during Tempest, with Mirage still being playable Carnivorous Bloom decks were insane. Life drain.
