Flyers fans waited over a YEAR for this moment..

Drafted 5th overall by the Flyers in the 2022 NHL Draft, Cutter Gauthier was once seen as a cornerstone of the Philadelphia Flyers rebuilding efforts. However, in the spring of 2023, after returning from the World Championships, Gauthier informed Flyers GM Danny Brière that he would not be signing with the team. This announcement put an end to his time with the organization before it had truly begun.
On January 8, 2024, Gauthier was traded to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for defenseman Jamie Drysdale. The move gave the Flyers a young, skilled blueliner while providing Gauthier a fresh start with a team eager to integrate him into their plans....

#nhl #coloradoavalanche #buffalosabres In a thrilling matchup on January 2, 2025, the Colorado Avalanche overcame a three-goal deficit to edge the Buffalo Sabres 6-5 in overtime. The game was marked by a significant incident in the third period when Avalanche goalie Scott Wedgewood sustained a right leg injury after a collision involving Sabres forward Zach Benson. Controversially, play continu...
Love the content bro subscribed immediately, i did enjoy the left ear video lolol
the Flyers are a great hockey team, a great venue, great fans, best mascot Gritty, the sexy Ice Girls and dancers, wish I lived in Philly, I'd go more often...hey cutter, you blew it dude, haha.
Good first 👍 Do run the audio through headphones though and give a listen, I am catching an odd oscillating effect that cleared up when the post game interview was run and then came back after.
Flyers fans will terrorize this league once they have a good team 💀
They should gave Flyers fans 1st star of them game
Honestly best hockey fans in America. One day when we have an Elite team again no one will want to come play in our building. All the hate I see calling us classless is jealous fans that just wish they could be apart of the Philly sports community we have. No one has more passion than us.
Rip Johnny hockey
Absolutely. RIP Johnny Hockey. Philly's own.
Most Philly fans are missing a chromosome.
Hell yeah.
Only fans that hate hockey would defend quitter Gauthier ! Great job Philly fans!
Flyers fans won this game 😂 great video!!
Cronin is just fine. Yes, this take constitutes a very small minority of the Ducks fanbase. Fair that fans attribute Ducks recent wins to the best goaltending 2 in the league, DostWal and Gibson, and several skaters that put us over the top with finesse goals.
Fan bases and organizations that obsess and focus on booing former players are never going to build winning cultures. Philly is headed down the road of becoming the next NYI.
Moron.
Was definitely the most entertaining game so far this season!
Play should have been stopped. Now the referees are hurt by the coaches comments and are blowing penalties on the Avs. They screwed up and are still penalizing the Avs.
The reason Torts was screaming was because Nick Seeler got hurt during the icing and went down the tunnel so the refs were trying to get him back onto the ice without realizing he went down the tunnel
It felt like a playoff game wire to wire. I think two young teams benefited from that type of atmosphere
Just found your channel: i like your comments, as you seem to understand the game! Flyers fan forever!
I was at this game. Anytime Cutter did anything he was booed. The guy literally couldn’t touch the puck without hearing boos rain on him. My favorite part was when they showed the “check of the game”, it was cutter getting shoved into the boards.
Lucky! I would've loved to have been at this one in particular. Yeah Cutter is a smarmy cowardly little sh*t and he deserves all of this hate. If he really didn't wanna play for the Flyers, fine. Then say so. Nicely. Stop dancing around and evading the question and show some respect. But no...he chose to continue to run his mouth and last night he paid the price.
So happy to see the flyers spank the shit outta the ducks. I don’t even like the flyers too.
I can’t believe we wasted a draft pick on a brat like him 😂
I honestly really like your style of videos, the commentary without really anything extra is really nice
I was at that game and man was it wild. It was like a rivalry
It looks like a rivalry certainly started against the ducks! That's all right, we play better against teams we're against! Anaheim? Of all the teams, really?
@ yeah because was Cutter Gauthier was saying that the Ducks were going to kick our ass on the ice. And man was he wrong
Subscribed - enjoyed your video. You a flyers fan?
Good work here.
3:17 Hathaway said “Get… over here.” 😭
Lol, I was thinking that when I saw him grab (he who must not be mentioned)
Hahaha it was actually pretty funny. Like "Oh no you don't, little man!!!!"
imagine not wanting to play for the Flyers and get traded to the Ducks, possibly the worst spot to be traded to
Not even close. Yeah the team might suck but you get to play hockey in south cali right next to the beach.
@@slooogsyt7106…and lose more of your money to the ridiculous California state income tax. Also, a player who chooses a second-rate hockey market like Anaheim just so he can be near a beach is a loser with no desire to win a Stanley Cup. You have your entire life post-retirement to live near a beach.
Better than getting traded to Buffalo
not as terrible as the sabres or the blue jackets
Gudas only fights guys smaller than him. Biggest possie I've EVER SEEN.
Right??? What a bum
I hated him when he was a flyer.... basically because of what you said: he only goes after smaller players!😮😮
With cutter, i wonder if someone in his family was assaulted, and with Carter hart on the team and the 2018 world juniors allegations. Maybe he just didn’t want to play here, (flyers fan). And if this is the reason, i do understand the reasoning, i mean lindros didn’t want to play in Quebec cause of something (i believe) similar to that,
Cutter is a pooosie.
Cutter got butt hurt that the Flyers wouldn't add him to the roster at the end of last season in NCAA. They did not want to burn the first year of his ELC for minimal games plus they wanted him to get some AHL time. This basically took money out of Cutters pocket because he was assured a spot from the previous regime who was long gone and his was pissed about it and then wanted to bolt.
Yeah sure, worried about assaulting girls but playing hockey. He wouldn't be able to play anywhere.
@@xtraplayer7281do you mean cutter or hart?
The Lindros situation is still very different from Cutter. Lindros made it clear to Quebec that he didn't want to play there and wouldn't sign with them whereas Cutter told the Flyers he wanted to play here and signed a contract and only had a problem when the Flyers didn't guarantee him a roster spot. Speculating about the Hart situation might be an interesting theory but doesn't excuse him not taking meetings with LeClair and Sharp at the World Juniors or taking Danny's calls.
Just keep up the good work
Thank you to everyone who has subscribed to the channel, liked my videos, and left feedback ! :) Were you able to catch this game last night? Let me know your thoughts! I had a blast watching this one.
hmmm what are you talking about it if you know flyers fan exceptions to that
Check the refs bank balance, he is obviously ofn the take! Just look at the first goal, the player was in the blue and stopped the goalie from getting across. Corrupt ref should be removed from the job!
Any thoughts on Matthews performance the last 2 games?😂
Love the Avs still.
There was nothing to review. Whether or not play should continue is based on a judgement call by the ref on the severity of the injury. Play is not automatically blown dead if the goalie is injured and the opposing team has the puck. Wedgewood had an ankle sprain and was back in action in about a week. I would say based on the rules, not blowing the whistle and delaying medical treatment did not cause him unnecessary harm and that the injury was not exceptionally severe. It was the right call.
Hockey has to be a violent game with animosity for it to really work - be compelling and engaging. It's too much soccer-on-ice today, with players only trying to stick check.
I was at this game and I don't think I've ever celebrated a regular season win against bad team more in my life
Nice video. Who's your favorite NHL team, btw?
I hope these two teams meet in the playoffs. If there's any coach that can turn the Leafs into Cup contenders, it's Berube, but I'll believe when I see it.
If the ref isn't going to make the call, why are they there? They're literally just extra meat on the ice if they don't do the thing they're there to do.
I subscribed to your channel
The part I hate the most is that Benson celebrated the goal… it was basically an empty net bro
“Should refs be able to make exceptions to the reviews on a challenge” No. You tell the referees what you’re challenging. They challenged for GI, it wasn’t GI. You even said it yourself. There’s no way to challenge for a missed stoppage, it’s not a mechanism of the game. And rightfully so. The referees called it by the book, what is there to even challenge?
My right ear feels left out of this video.
Wasnt GI, Avs never touched the puck, and it was a leg injury. Get mad at the rules.
New NHL fan here. Been watching a lot of videos lately to catch up and YT recommended your channel. Take my sub and keep up the great work! Love watching quick break downs like these
Glad i found this channel. I feel there is absolutely a want and need for hockey channel to show what isn't covered at nausium in the highlights from sportsnet or nhl(5 different angles and slowmo of a meh goal). Penalties, hits, no calls, funny stuff is never shown probly to boost viewership, but who has time to watch 2-3 games and often overlapping time slots.
That is one of the all time non calls that I can remember in the NHL. Absolutely no excuse. Go Avalanche
are you talking through a paper towel tube?
Nice Job -- Good Breakdown -- subscribed!!
Respect to Matthews not pulling Vegas and going to ltir their not cheating like Vegas
Just a clarification. Empty net goals are goals scored on an empty net. These would be goals scored with the goalie pulled for an extra attacker.
I caught that in editing lol. Nothing worse then noticing something like that later on. If you pause it at 4:10 you can see I added text *goalie pulled*. I should've let it sit on the screen a bit longer though, it flashes really quickly in hindsight. Thanks for making it that far into the video though!
@PuckLuckRUclips I was only listening and not watching the screen. I enjoyed it.
