To be honest all this tech is what we already have right now at a fraction of the price such as in the quest 3 so valve will need to produce something above and beyond the features in the video to charge close to £1500 - personally would like to see a much bigger fov say 150degrees or above to justify the price .

Yeah right... Slime hasnt gone anywhere, and it wont go anywhere. theyve almost trippled their price since launch and still havent even made a public release for consumers 3 years later. Not even all the backers got their product. My friend says he was promised a set 8 months ago. Some backers in the discord server say theyve been waiting years after paying ~$350. even when they WILL recieve one; It will be one of their first models because they package the slimes and let it sit there collecting dust until its shipped out via low priority mail. One of the 4 year beta testers and long time supporter admitted that public orders "probably" wont be made until "quarter one of 2025". And thats if things go "smoothly". Put it on the list of upcoming failed projects. Or even if it does release, other cheap alternatives will most definitely be available that far into the future. I feel bad for the people who said they put in around $500 for slime products in 2021 and still havent recieved anything.

Almost twice the resolution on one axis and the cheap version is available for "only" 8 x the price of a Quest 3 🤣... the sweet spot for more advanced stuff is around 1K, so they missed it by factor 4 on the price and it will only reach a very small audience.

I don't know, Beyond Bigscreen, is pretty compelling for what it offers, and especially for the price. Even if these two products were priced the same, I may still go Beyond, but they're not, Beyond is a quarter of the price!

$4K and no eco system, what about UI/UX? I don’t have much faith in enterprise first companies. I don’t care how good is the TV if there is nothing to watch. Apple has mini oled and a track record at user friendly consumer accepted execution not to mention at an eco system that includes iPad apps, Apple TV, Mac, and a crap load of money to invest in first party release. This is nothing to be excited about.

Quest: 7/10 (first ever quest and it was extremely good for the time) Quest 2: 8/10 (a nice upgrade from the Quest 1 while keeping that nice sleek look) Quest Pro: 3/10 (way too overpriced and looks extremely ugly) Quest 3: 9/10 (has pretty much everything the Quest Pro does at half the price)

I see the Quest 2 basically being the Quest lite. Seriously for $250 the Quest 2 is a great value. Perfect entry level VR device. It can play stand alone VR games, has a good resolution, and can do PCVR (Wired and wireless). Too many quest 2 users out there for them just to be abandoned.
