I am celebrating my retirement from 50 years as an RN. I did a home exchange, it will be my only one, and found a place for 8 days for free. My flight was $420 RT from Boston but I applied for an American Airlines card and got it for $167. I'm bringing dry pasta and beans, like cold black bean soup, to make soup and stews. I used to work in Utqiavik (Barrow AK) as a temp, so I am all about saving, and I'm doing it on SS :) You have great tips!

Absolutely loved Lombok but it isn't perfect especially with trash issues around the island

I was recently in Lombok and the trash issue is a big problem. It is everywhere on the island sadly

In order to go to various places, don't use a car, instead ride a motorbike

To get to Camotes Island, you can go to Danao Port from North Bus Terminal and take the ferry, or you can take a high-speed boat directly from Mactan Island.　Although many people like the beaches of Tulang Island and Santiago Bay, I prefer Lake Danao. This lake is the place where we can relax.
