RIP Phil. It's still amazing to me that Phil didn't even know how to play the bass when Jerry asked him to join the band. He was such a talented musician, he just taught himself on the spot basically. Legend.

As I sit here and cry I will always cherish the great times and memories that the band has brought me. The friends and the experiences of life that I will always remember and keep with me till my final day. We'll miss you Phil 😭

Jerry died around when my dad died and it was somehow helpful in processing all that. Now my mom is about to go. Driving back 9 hours yesterday from visiting her I heard the news on SXM. They started playing Phil tunes of course, also the Dead's mourning/remembrance/spiritual songs. Then all the deadheads calling in with stories. One more round of synchrondipity for me. God Bless Phil, Phish, and all of us!
