Sorry you are wrong. Electric island is all cool and stuff but some instances it is a hit and miss... I was there for the Ben Bohmer show and it was pretty decent... however I could see how it could be improved. Better lighting maybe? - it is a festival afterall.. at least better screen ... ?? better projections... are you a fool? we pay. we make them money. Beer is like $15 for a beer that cost and average of about $3-4 at the beer store. On average they make about $3.00 - $4.00 profit after they pay most other costs on every beer. labour, taxes , wages .. probably $2-3 per beer. The vodka and redbull was a little better priced. The vibe was ok.. I have been to Ushuia Ibiza... Amnesia.. Privilege... Pacha... I have been to festivals in Montreal... electrik piknic that which the atmosphere was a little bit more friendlier... Nothin in toronto is cool. When you go to Hard rock hotel in ibiza... they have many nights that you can pay about 40 to 60 euros.. which is about the same price and the atmosphere is proper .... the promoter has the onus to cater to you in terms of music , relatively safe vibe and relatively cool atmosphere for people to get along. Get a life and travel more. Toronto is sht scene for dance music. I have been to ibiza 6 times... I have been to Ushuia beach hotel for ants to see Kolsch , etc etc etc ... you name it of techno. What makes a night is really not the music but the atmosphere that people create around the music.. how friendly it is and accepting. Period. That does not happen in Toronto. Everyone wants to hide and be weird about doing drugs. At least be cool about it and be friendly.... honestly. You do not . I repeat. YOu do not have to be a drug addict to do drugs with people and listen to cool techno and try to have a good time collectively. But in toronto... it is some sort of competition about how "hard" the hip hop scene and drake is supposed to be allowed into the dance scene.. and quite frankly... it is making a lot of the atmosphere at shows in Toronto which I have been to alot... very strange weird and very confused. Techno is usually very European and the proper atmosphere is usually very free, carefree, easy going, it can be friendly especially in Spaniard clubs and festivals... and usually very friendly overall. Girls are usually more friendly and usually more easy going. Toronto just finds excuses to create b.s. divisions of hip hop and dance or try to compete. I know what proper techno parties are. I have been to about 5 or 6 richie hawtin shows in Ibiza of enter since 2015 until 2016... Toronto and your attitude of piece of sht "oh the promoter or festival" does not have to cater to you. Yes it does. For $100.00 a pop of a ticket and $15 beer and $11 red bull and $17 red bull and vodkas it better give me a better than average time. You are fool for trying to argue for a promoter that is trying to be stingy and hide behind the mantra of raver - minimalism lighting just to save money and make more money. BS. The truth IMO is that electric island in toronto has been a hit and miss this summer. The music has been alright but the atmosphere as I have been told has been alright to pretty good to kind of just meh. Festivals are supposed to be LIT and make long lasting impressions .... Honestly after attending 3 electric island whatever festivals since they were in the toronto island... I do not have any good lasting impressions that made me feel like WOW that was a lit festival... VELD was better at uplifting my mood and giving me hope through music as part of my life. This show was like having chinese food or really bland sushi... in one minute gone in about 5 -10 minutes and completely NOT memorable... not too friendly of a vibe/atmosphere.

@@ceterisparibus6261 Holy fuckkkk you wrote a lot lmao.... But I agree with a lot you said. That was my first electric island and idk why but the vibes were fucking weird. I went to Veld and Escapade this summer which costs a lot more money but it was like 100x better than this shit festival

@@Mrk0k044 thank you! i had to get it off my chest because I know I am right... veld is literally the best vibes in toronto... any of their after parties/ or festival shows are super nice. Mainly because the crowd is young and usually easy going. The promoter should make a monthly veld night somewhere.. lol or like every 2 months or whatever... and make it at rebel main room.
