Not trying to complain - they did a pretty good job and it's a great choice for a cover - but it's too close to the original. Why do the cover just like the original? Make it your own.

The Boy's Republic is the only song that I haven't heard from White Pony. It's safe to say that I have been missing out for a long time.
A real shame White Pony 20th Anniversary CD doesn't include this, would have made it the definitive way to enjoy the album re release

Yes, it's written by Hugh Hopper and appeared on Soft Machine demos recorded in April '67 by the erstwhile Georgia Gomelsky. Very faithful cover by the Mars Volta.. Less so is the one by Material from the early '80s with what was probably the first recorded vocal by a young Whitney Houston!… Think I'll go revisit that now...

For some reason it was a bonus track only and not on the recent reissue. The band needs to show this song more love it's amazing
