Tandem Wrapping: DH S2S + FCS
Double Hammock Shoulder to Shoulder (base+1) and an integrated Front Cross Sling (base-1) tandem woven wrap carry. This tutorial uses woven wraps; these carries would not be recommended with stretchy wraps.
The back carry is good with larger infants and toddlers, and the front carry is appropriate for babies of all ages.

Semi PWCC with various size/age kids
Просмотров 1,8 тыс.3 года назад
Sometimes it is hard to visualize what a carry will look like (or how it will look to wrap and tighten it) when the child in the tutorial isn’t the same size as your child. Here’s a comparison of the same woven wrap carry - Semi Pocket Wrap Cross Carry - demonstrated with a newborn size demo doll, two toddlers (showing both front and hip positions), and a tall kindergartener. I’m using the same...

I cover the most common issues I see that affect comfort in Front Wrap Cross Carry, demonstrated with both a base size wrap (...

PWCC TAS - Worldfacing Position
Просмотров 1,4 тыс.4 года назад
Pocket Wrap Cross Carry Tied at the Shoulder (suitable for both base 1 woven wraps, hybrid wraps, or stretchy wraps) demonstrated with a worldfacing (forward facing out) position. Worldfacing should only be used for babies with strong core muscle tone and neck control (for typically developing babies this is around 4 to 6 months old) and who have the neurological capability to communicate disco...
Woven Wrap Technique: Single RIng Finishes
Просмотров 1,8 тыс.4 года назад
This video covers how to use a single sling ring as a substitute for a knot to finish some woven wrap carries. As a reminder, only official babywearing sling rings, like the ones sold by SlingRings.com, should be used for wrapping. Do not use craft rings, bracelets, hair ties, or anything else not properly weight rated to finish a wrap carry.

I finally did a successful double hammock thanks to this video! (And baby's unexpected cooperation, of course, haha.) Telling us to bring the top rail of the chest pass between baby's belly and your back in as straight a line as possible by your armpit finally made the chest past "click" in my head. Thanks!

How to practice this with a 7mo who doesn't like the process of being wrapped on the back yet?? He settles once I get a practice back carry finished, but he's unhappy during the whole process. Is arms out the best way to approach practicing this step?

Thank you! This was helpful. After wearing my baby for a while, he always sagged down a bit. I hope with this troubleshooting it becomes better. I think the top rail part (not just pulling it over the shoulder) and holding babies back while tightening the first shoulder will do the trick.

I've tried using a medium ring on my 250gsm wrap (I weighed it to check) a it's so tight I can't sbs tighten through it - should I need to pop it up to sbs tighten, the flatten it back down again? A large ring works on some carries I've tried, but it slips on others (with the same wrap)

Thanks for this great tutorial. I learned a lot! The way you showed how to make the hammock finally made hammock passes click for me. The way you showed how to strand-by-strand tighten from the waist pass is more effective than my previous method. And I am glad to have learned how to keep track of the rails of a shoulder flip. Sorry, didn't mean to turn this into an essay. There were so many nuggets of gold in this tutorial. Thanks again, Alyssa!
