Thank you for uploading these videos on corrosion chemistry and the information on cycle influences. Your explanations are clear and a class above the more commercial "talk to your OEM" content common on RUclips. I have recently changed careers from oil & gas to power generation in a coal fleet. This has been a great aid to understanding and "catching up" up to the process chemistry in this context. I will be watching the rest of your channel with close attention.

Good memories. Worked in the maintenance dept at the 2400MW Longannet Power Station in Scotland (picture this station times four) for 15 yrs before they shut it down and demolished it. All in the name of eco friendly energy policy. Now we are paying the highest energy prices in Europe. Absolute criminal.

Informative video. Surprised this channel has such few subscriptions. Wish you used SI units though lol. Question: Getting a"Leak Detector" or "H2 Liquid Detector" alarm on the DCS. And then draining the stator and finding abnormally high volumes of water could be a sign of what is wrong with the machine? Is it related to the degassing and preservation procedure not being done correctly?

I read that the N Reactor was much safer than RMBK and actually had a negative void coefficient due to also using moderation from the coolant water. The chances of a meltdown was almost impossible, because it was designed so well. It was probably the most advanced weapons reactor ever designed. It is sad the destroyed the N reactor, I think they should had preserved it in safe cold storage what a sad loss of technology. I don't feel that tearing down the building or cocooning the reactor made it any safer lol. You still have all the sludge and that is the main problem, but hopefully they can turn most of it to glass. I know when they drilled deep in the basalt, they found no contamination in the ground water. In fact, they discovered healthy living Archaea that were able to produce their own sugar without sunlight. I think it is very safe to say no radioactive waste can hurt the ground water or seep to the Columbia. It would get trapped and filtered out naturally by the rock in the earth nature always has a process. People forget Uranium comes from the earth. I think it was more of a scare tactic created by corrupt, politicians running for office the time. But it is still good they are trying to cleanup Hanford. What an interesting place.

As a former power station operator who's operated these systems I never expected to see this video on You Tube! Good explanation of a double sealed hydrogen cooled generator sealing system. By "bad deal" he means losing seal oil on a generator will result in an explosion!

Tell me what you think, but it seems to me like the Lake Chelan maps(side view) they sell are inaccurate. They depict the bottom of the Lucerne Basin to be soft and rounded. My research shows that this basin looks sharp and jagged as if the two sides of the lake have been ripped apart. What are your thoughts? When I look at the top down view on Google maps it shows sharp stair step ledges. Yet the maps sold are drawn with no sharp drop off’s. I am interested to hear your perspective after diving with your rover. Great content! Thanks for sharing.

the N Reactor is the closest thing in the West to the Soviet RMBK, both are "light" water-cooled Graphite Moderated reactors with positive void coefficants (which I suspect is a necessary evil for duel purpose reactors, as the RMBKs were also designed to refine Plutonium to weapon's grade levels, though the RBMKs never actually got to do so)
