Flosstube #7: Stitching on the River retreat recap and progress update

I am so behind on Flosstube as well so sorry for the late comments. Love the message of the cat piece, which is really resonating with me currently as well. Adulting is hard. Great find on those beautiful painted beads. Looks like you've had some great adventures and trips this summer.

Hi Aimee! I'm new to you channel and this has been such a lovely visit! I totally get all thr summer sads, I'm a fellow educator. For me there's also a layer of guilt about things I "should" be doing since I've got more time than most. I'm going to look into wizard cat, that is pretty cute! Love the fabric you chose for it. That border on blood fountain looks great. Etoile is surprisingly shiny. I'm glad that you were able to celebrate pride safely. Power in community ❤️ I've been curious about Casa Cenina. I'm so glad you had a great experience at Pride this year and that you have friends to circle round and help make you feel safer. I have so much respect for people living in intolerant communities who stand up for kindness, tolerance and love. We need more people like you! Your hiking adventures look amazing and make me miss being in the mountains.

Aimee! It makes my heart so happy to see you!❤ I LOVE your finishes. Moon Garden and Under the Friendship Tree both turned out so beautifully.😍 I pulled out a Mira WIP a couple of days ago and realized how much I enjoy stitching on it. There is just something about Mira’s, right? I enjoy hearing about all of your adventures and just seeing your lovely self!!❤❤❤

I LOVE how you finished Moon Garden; the frame is perfect! Good luck stitching Halloween at Hawk Run. Those charts are behemoths but so worth the end result.

It’s unfortunately out of print. I set an alert on eBay and had to wait a while but it did eventually pop up. I hope you can find a copy because it’s a fun stitch!

I like your La-di-da Hare/ Rabbit , congratulations on your retreat bell announcement! And I am amazed at how well that Victorian frame matches your widow frog, but then again it is such an amazing frame that it will go with a lot of your projects. But my most favourite piece is of course your Mira , you have done a lot of progress for only two days of stitching? Actually, yours and Luda's are the most beautiful Miras and you are one of the very few stitchers that got stuck in my memory from the very first flosstube - you are the one with the amazing ladies, stitching and framing. :) I am glad you released this update, I was waiting for your video. No Nesta hate here, I love her! I like most of the ACOTAR characters, but it’s hard to find characters to root for in crescent city. There’s definitely a few, but it’s a short list.
Cathedral Woods Goddess has to be one of the sparkliest Miras! I will absolutely reframe her and copy you if I ever come across a mirror/frame like that 😍 I actually bought a small 5x7 frame that looks exactly like yours in miniature at TJMaxx. I want to design something to fit in it - it’s so pretty!
