In short for anyone looking to move here: If you’re looking for small towns, the Gorge is for you. If you’re into outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, skiing, water sports, etc. the Gorge is for you. If you want shopping, box chains, good healthcare, top tier education systems, the arts, or really anything a large city offers. The Gorge might not be for you. As someone that grew up in a large city, the Gorge can be a culture shock if you’re not prepared. That being said, I wouldn’t trade it for anywhere else.

As a former Gorge resident, the content was well done. But please stop the vocal fry as it is unprofessional. (I’ll delete this in a week and it is not an attack, but from someone who speaks for a living)

Hood River is paradise! It's the coolest town the people are amazing and the sweetest people they care and understand and help you with anything seriously they're angels! It's very, very beautiful and stunning the schools are perfect. It's seriously the perfect town!

The Columbia gorge is maybe 1% of the population. 90% of people will be in the Portland or Seattle area.

Do people live in Hood River and then commute to Portland for work?

I lived and worked in White Salmon and did all my shopping in Hood River. It was the best of both worlds for me. I miss it there. Moved away in 2012. But I have 2 exes there and it’s a small town so… I’m thinking of moving to the Seattle region. What made you love the Hood River area over Seattle?

Like Coeur Dlene and Bend Hood River is for the wealthy and elite now. If you now making 150 - 200k you can’t afford it.

Cheapest place to live? NOT A BLUE STATE! Born and raised Oregonian! Living in Arizona! Don’t forget to mention Antifa thugs are based in Washington! They are the ones riding around in groups of 50-100 wearing matching clothes killing innocent people. I was there I saw it. Oregon vs Washington is a lose lose. That’s like saying “which dumpster fire would you prefer!? They teach critical race theory to kids. Self defense of family and property is criminalized.

As a native born Oregonian who has lived in Oregon most of my 58 years of life, my main comment on your video is that the Portland area is not the best part of Oregon. Many Oregonians avoid Portland like the plage and would love it if that area was handed over to Washington. Oregon is a wonderful state to live in but just like Washington, and California, has a leadership problem that continues to make a bad situation worse with every decision.

Based on the home prices there, don’t think it’s much of a secret. PS vocal Frye is gross
