Wondai to Goomeri Flight
Quick flight from Wondai to Goomeri to see how affected by rain they were, doesn't appear they were, or at least at the time I saw.
About a 40nm run ~45mins in a Xenon RST Gyrocopter.
My first attempt at compiling background music. Used JJazzLab, nice app and free!
Filmed using an Insta360 X3 camera.

Просмотров 1082 года назад
Went hoverin' with a few friends at Mingo caravan park on the Burnett River/Paradise Dam. Didn't make it to the dam ~15nm but went up stream and found dead tree gully (at least that's what I called it). Beautiful place and very green. Music: www.bensound.com

Did my fixed wing training out of Wondai some years ago. Good to see the strip still alive and well!
This view is awful though, everything looks like giant bubble, like those 180 degrees security cameras.
So?
Just started training for my private pilot for planes but gyros sure do look like fun
Much much cheaper too! Find a club nearby and go for a TIF.
Great video, thanks for sharing
A bug is not meat
Nice footage. That bowler sent way too many down leg! Hopefully that field got a drink lately
That was Funny - I never laughed at a fan exploding before :)
That poor Red/Yellow craft - Too much engine for such a small Fan (gotta keep that weight down, a wake from a hovercraft not good, pls take as constructive critique)... Great drone footage- I need an tracking drone one of these days!
gr8 job keep m coming
Great video...looks like lots of fun!😁
gr8 stuff
Skytalker, can you tell me which engine you used and do you have a build page? I have had the plans for years and now decided to get started on one for the river. Thanks in advance, Bill
+Bill Houghtaling Sorry no build page. I am using a Yamaha PE485 twin air cooled 2 stroke producing 50hp. Others run rotax's, subaru engines etc. anything light and powerful. What area r you in. Check www.qhover.com/ for more info
Why would you do tht??really???feeding a baby mantis to tht thing
thems possums look tasty.....
Adorable!! Australian animals are the fuckin cutest. I felt pretty bad for the mantis too though. :O(
@skytalker22 yeah - really smart bug - he totally wanted to get away - no roach would do that - that level of "intelligent" instinct in a BUG suprised me - i kinda felt sorry for the poor bugger - he just wanted to save his freakin' life - sheesh - LOL - mantis must be sorta smart - guess its that big head = big brain ? - damn we humans would be up shit creek if they were big as elephants! fly down on ur sorry ass and WACK - rip ur head off dude!! LOLOL
That’s not a bug. It’s an alien.
Would be great without the hideous "music"
@Armornone i dont have enough money to make one. but if i did, maybe.
@Armornone they made it them selfs
@Jovan14606 Ok... had a look at your channel and gained some respect in your favour. I understand what you are saying, and i guess it is a bit biased for my opinion as i keep 2 praying mantises in my room. I think they're awesome and cute and i think it's wrong for a possum to eat it as it isn't a possum's natural diet. If it was, then that will be OK. I see your point of view and am sorry for how i reacted to your comment.
@Jovan14606 From all that i had typed, you only managed to extract the two words 'good grammar'. I'm tired of having pathetic 8 year olds attempting to be smart, get a life.
@Jovan14606 well you are a sick person just like the uploader. just because it's an insect, and an exotic one too, doesn't mean you can feed it to an animal who doesn't naturally eat them. and comment back to me when you learn how to have good grammar, pass six grade, and how to release caps lock.
Those are cute possums. The ones in the USA are hideously ugly and nasty.
Seen our western grey roos eat what we call Twenty Eight parrots (Port lincoln parrots over east)over here in West Oz...Wasnt just a once off thing either. Amazing what you see our native critters feasting on.Hope your flying weather has improved mate.
omg your an idiot. poor praying mantis getting eaten by 2 possums. How would you like to have been the mantis. get a freakin life
I got one of these for Valentine's Day, aren't they the coolest?
it's just what I had on hand...and as it turns out it came in at 292 grams which is pretty good...i used hs45 servos in the wings, hs55 in the fuse, a 3s 360mah rhino battery, frsky rx, batt alarm and a 10a cc bec. I get about 2 hrs flying out of the battery...not bad. Being my first dlg, I couldn't see the point in over engineering it considering it would either get lost or damaged. There is a fracture in the fuse just under the wing on the left side...i'd suggest from the stress of launching.
ooohhhh this gets me so excited! Mine is coming in the mail! What made you decide to go with a lipoly+bec instead of say a LiFePo batt?
only way to fly
@muffdriver69 owner of the land from which you are flying from, the air is managed by CASA...check the regs
@skytalker22 Owners permission? Dude, that means you will have to ask every resident in the suburb (10,000+) to fly above the sky, LOL. I was wondering if you can fly this high enough so it doesn't disturb the people. Or should I just go ask the council? I though being in the air, it's free to fly, since no one owns the air as long as it complies with CASA regs right?
@muffdriver69 I expect so if you have the property owners permission and comply with casa regs
Is this legal to fly around urban parts of Melbourne?
he must have known something was going to happen...he didn't really want to hang around.. you live and learn every day
not allowed without paying the appropriate licensing fees...
Bah.... Watching FPV from the underbelly isnt as immersive as the cockpit... Try again...
